I don't think so, but possibly. The ethos of the original S.M.S. was to make art more widely accessible by offering high quality artwork at low cost. The project was, I understand, an implied criticism of the financial preoccupations of the art world. According to the creatorprojects website:
The founding concept of S.M.S. was egalitarian and the featured artists, whether celebrated or relatively unknown at the time, were presented and paid equally.
They also say:
For some years, we reflected on how the art that we see in museums and art fairs could become affordable to a broader audience. When the pandemic hit and the world entered into lockdown, these concerns became imperative because many understood how essential it is to experience art.
I know it seems strikingly strange in this world for somebody to sell something for less than they possibly could, or for less than it's apparently 'worth' (whatever that means with regard to ink on paper), but I think these people genuinely want to make what they consider to be important art available to people who don't have bottomless pockets.
I'm really pleased to have been able to pick one up โ massive thanks to aumi for the original post.

Let's just say the ballerina image in JR's Wombat Box wasn't really doing it for me. Add shipping costs of 125 Euros to Canada and I'm out. Clearly the postal service isn't in on M.M.S.' 'make it affordable' scheme...

For my part, I support Plymouth and wear Blue Stratos.

BOYCHILDS work is incredible - one of the most intense and passionate performers Iโve ever come across. Love their collaborations with Korakrit Arunanundchai
