I like the box. Will probably never open it, put airport wrapping foil around it, display it in my living room and have people voice their opinion, if there is still an artistic value to it, or if I'm just a pretentious jerk and if not, when did that happen?

The description of the contributions of each artist on the website shows most of them actually put some effort and thought in this.
Obviously resources were very strict (and that was a challenge itself) so anyone who bought assuming to get a bronze sculpture or anything "precious" was clearly wrong since the beginning.

Dear M.M.S.#1 friends,
We hope you're well and in health.
Hereby, we send a general update on M.M.S. #1.
In the last couple of months, we have worked hard to turn M.M.S from an idea into a real concrete projects, and we can't wait for you to receive the box!
Due to Covid-19, we have encountered a few bumps along the road, and have experienced delays while producing and receiving the different contributions which are produced across the world. We are extremely sorry for such delay, but as you know shit happens (!).
We expect to ship all the M.M.S.#1 boxes by early July. Once we get closer to the first shippings, we will send an update email to all recipients to inform them about the approximate date of delivery. Please, check your spam box around that period, in case the message will end up there.
To all of you who ordered a local pick-up, we will send an email notification with days and time slots for pick-ups, expected in the last two weeks of June.
We have recently updated our instagram and webpage with new information on the different contributions, including images and sketches. Go check it out!
The remaining 200 boxes will be released for sale on our webpage on May 12.

It's just a shame they have shown what's in there as for me - getting something and not knowing what the F**k is in it is pretty cool.
not sure why they decided to show the contents - I think the biggest reveal before they actually started arriving should have been the participating artists and they stopped at that.

I looked at the insta pictures and decided there were a couple I liked (Holzer and Tovborg) but overall a bit weak. However, looking at the descriptions on their web page, the pics don't do some of the items justice. I won't put any details, so as not to spoil it, for those of you who have deliberately not viewed them. But the Creed, Hesselholdt, Vascellari, Bruguera and buren all seem to be more interesting than the pics appear, with the creed item of most interest to me. I am now very much looking forward to receiving it. Btw there are 115 left if anyone is contemplating buying one. |

I think it looks like an excellent set. Every work is unique, and at least half of them look and sound interesting. I especially like the Kwade, Grosse and Chetwynd contributions. I honestly thought I would be essentially receiving a box of small prints with one or two exceptions, but there's nothing that resembles a conventional print and the set is all the better for it.
The only problem I can see is that so many of the contributions demand to be used or displayed or passed on. Maybe I'll buy a second to keep intact for the collection so I can have fun with the first.
