True that you never know what Banksy might do, oh well, dropping that amount on a print, Iβm sure the buyer is good with the risk

lot of ambitious starting bids, too...

TateWard β’ Art Auctions π¬π§, by LJCal on Aug 27, 2020 19:13:33 GMT 1, For a work without COA I find that an enormous sum. I'm not sure what people's obsession is with the COA, clearly buyers don't care. I'd say over half of the secondary sales from other artsist that happen don't come with COAs and their are plenty of ways of authenticating these works.

In the current market it feels Β£10k-Β£15k light. Was there any condition issues?
As an aside itβs one of my least favourite images alongside qv.

I was tempted to bid but my wife would have probably killed me if I'd won as she hates that image!

Your eyes are good start, inspection and comping, source of purchase/sale, provenance, all of these factors weighed together. I'm pretty sure most old masters don't come with COAs and people pay tens/hundreds of millions based on looking at all of the above.

Agreed. Petrol Bomb selling for Β£3,125 (inc. BP) is a little nuts.
