Partially due to the time of the year, but personally I think itโs just a sign of the times, war, interest rates, utility hikes etc etc

- Itโs a buyers market and there should be some bargains to be had, on the flip side a lot of lots had reserves that werenโt reached / set at old pricing levels making it hard to grab a bargain.
- Unless you have to sell quickly wait it out, there is too much market uncertainty at the moment.

Partly due to the auction having the same 90% tat which owners of Tate flog off or fakes, partly due to selling at the worst possible time to sell, but overall good art will historically hold value in times of recession or inflationary pressure and there will no bargains to be had. |

I hadn't realised they were open editions and you could import one for about ยฃ65 including shipping and tax.
So why would anyone pay over ยฃ200 for the same thing? Just a lack of research or am I missing something?

Itโs probably not a bad idea to contact the auction house about buying unsold lots as sellers will often prefer some kind of deal than the work back. Buyers market is no bad thing but it could be that way for a long time.

Invader did alright as well, demand didnt seem overly strong. The piece I went for was about market so no crazy bargain for me!
