Values have halved or are headed that way when looking at bottom line figures
All the while the artist remains silent, way more silent than ever before
I hear big things for 2023 so letโs see what transpires
Everyone wants new work on the street, most of all those holding large collections

The rapid growth made people invest more and more. Letโs not deny prices are still very high. Long term it will recover. Banksy is certainly taking his time and has been quiet. I imagine something big will soon come.

Iโd be happy, mortgage sorted. Comparing it to the prices realised of a few years ago when everything went nuts is silly. The market went way over the top. I remember telling a close friend her u/s GWB was up to ยฃ200,000+. Mental! |

I don't recall Tate Ward attracting audiences and spends quite like the major auction houses, but still, this is more evidence the market is definitely down.
Perhaps a good time to buy - I don't know if you saw the GWB sell for ยฃ80k plus fees at Bonhams on 29th June; I wish I'd gone for that one!

After that there was a steady decrease as everyone tried to offload for crazy money. More Banksy only auctions appeared again and again, meaning there was an over load of supply. It all got a bit boring and with little media attention or activity from the man himself for a long time, things have become stale and interest has dwindled, driving down prices. It is a brave man to do so, but i feel this is a buying opportunity, especially for signed prints. I personally wouldn't touch unsigned in this kind of market. There has got to be something coming soon, perhaps even a string of things, meaning interest will again be there and prices will rise, it is inevitable.
