To be fair there are not 100k anymore as many were thrown away/damaged, plus even fewer were signed. That said, still surprising that Christie’s have taken these on.

Stik at Christie’s , by John The Badgers on Mar 9, 2021 19:47:39 GMT 1, Cant see the problem personally?
A great item, perhaps my favourite Stik image, signed, look great all framed up together as seen on images posted here, asking £3500 - £5000GBP, I'm sure there will be plenty of people interested.

Does it not reiterate its a great little item, regardless of it being a giveaway? I can certainly see the appeal, and I'm sure someone will enjoy having these on their wall which is what its all about?
Gave one to my other half for her Christmas prezzie last year, she was right chuffed.
Said it was the best present I have bought for her, and let me tell you, it was an electric blanket the year before, hell yeah, that's the way I roll - enough said.

The problem is that there is no coa, and there is no proof of provenance.

Lower expectations??!!! Why would you think that’s a good move?

It's a poster. A mass produced poster. Being sold by the top auction house in the game. It's not what they do, that's the problem. It cheapens the brand. Clearly stik is well deep with them for them to take this shite on.

Can't believe he sent his email circular about some posters being auctioned.

I also found that strange considering there are so many of them out there why promote these ones? Also considering these were gifted and this doesn’t appear to be a charity auction makes it all a bit weird.

He controls directly what appears at Christie's, they can't list any of his work without their approval, so guessing he's helping out a mate or continuing the market drive at the lower end or something else weird.

Lower end? At this rate all work is going to be expensive if now free posters are listed at Christie’s

Stik at Christie’s , by inefficiency of on Mar 9, 2021 22:50:15 GMT 1, It seems odd when there was such a drive to return posters to homes in the area. Unless the only reason is to drive the price up, for said homes to have a gift of even higher value.

Doubt it!
Why hasn't he released a new edition? He'd love the hype and attention around that, and the ensuing 'christies are auctioning my latest bun fight print'.

Stik at Christie’s , by irl1 on Mar 10, 2021 10:40:45 GMT 1, All power to Stik for using his apparent obsession with auctions to further highlight that what he gave to the residents of Hackney had a cash value. That's a nice thing to do. As a fan of Stik, it's not been thrilling to follow him over the past few years, but I can see that he's going about things the right way to push the prices up for his work. Mr Doodle is taking a different approach, by over saturating the market - it will be interesting to see how both fair in the long run Not a great result yesterday for this piece
