Stik at Christie’s , by bestdj777 on Mar 14, 2021 20:34:27 GMT 1, It's not your fault, its "your surroundings" and "disseminated" information you've acquired. I stand by my decision, $1425usd was a great deal for me here in the states and still remains as I know mine are 100% authentic, not a 340 ebay knock off.
I got mine, in the states, right after they were released and sellers were idiots when shipping these. I ended up with 7 or 8 posters at the end of the day, including one with four holes in it (no cardboard when shipped), and one that had been folded and then rolled... you definitely saved a hassle.

Considering the data, it was the best choice to make. I made sure it was vetted and packaged at a gallery/framing shop, I think it was well worth it. Even the newspapers(5) were treated as prints. I think there were some similar stories to yours in that thread mentioned above.

Stik at Christie’s , by jimmyjam on Mar 15, 2021 15:25:15 GMT 1, He knows he can control his market and his value this way. If he sold like a normal artist his works value would drop in a second.
I was never a fan of Stik tho... so I might just be biased.

He's a member here and has a huge stik collection from years ago, with some nice quirky bits. I expect this dish will easily fetch high estimate.

Stik at Christie’s , by Georgie Poppit on Jun 25, 2021 14:37:54 GMT 1, Don’t see why Stik’s market would be going anywhere- no shows, no gallery representation, no prints, no new street pieces. No way I’d part with money over other better, more active artists. That Tate Ward auction had a few nothing pieces from what I could see.

Canvas prices are still insanely low and represent great value. The print prices are indeed very strong. I agree if prints are selling at £40k then canvases are way to low. I would imagine that canvases/originals will pull away soon. I can't find many available, Graffik Gallery have a couple at the moment including a nice orange face canvas and yellow double figure canvas.

Stik at Christie’s , by Elvis to Pete on Jun 25, 2021 17:00:37 GMT 1, IMO once a recognisable original like Lovers, Liberty etc goes at auction it should do well and set the price for others.
In saying that a Single Mum (big mother) original on a door went for £193k in 2018.

That seems good value to me if his Liberty and Sleeping baby prints are fetching £40k. About 6-7 years ago, you could buy a Banksy canvas for 80k and his good signed prints for £40k. Now you can maybe buy his worst signed cheapest print for 40k but a canvas will start off at £300k. Just saying.

A 103x79cms sold for 87500£ two days ago at Tate Ward. For me a 25x25cms for 80000£ is a joke.
