Wipeout book, by Swiss Alan on Mar 13, 2021 16:42:36 GMT 1, Hi
I have a sealed copy of the Invader Wipeout book - any ideas on valuation with a view to sell.
Saw a couple on eBay for £240 - but can’t believe they’re worth that (if they are then...)

Wipeout book, by Lroy on Mar 13, 2021 16:59:59 GMT 1, Yes a bit asked ones as all Invader books.. But on Ebay people are just bidding without really know the value ( per example you will buy a vinyl 3X the price than on Discogs ) or per laziness...
Just my idea.. best way are biddigns ( even if there are ebay/paypal fees )

I’m interested to know how you got one signed or does invader sign them at random and ship them out?

Wipeout book, by Lroy on Mar 13, 2021 22:10:59 GMT 1, What’s the fair value on a signed copy of this? Anyway, a signed copy with the first name does not mean anything. Writing the name is a good thing agianst flipper. It's note the ame as a blank signature.
Just my advise.

Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that when invader signs a book he always adds your name and doesn’t just sign it ‘invader’?

As for French comics where there are a lot of flips, authors have found that with the first name ( or they dint sign it), comics books as less flippable than without, because it becomes a personal gifts and not a signature as a signed book. I have few books signed by Invader, ask everybody, they are all signed with the first name ; it’s a good way to eliminate flippers or crazy prices , as it’s not a « signed book « as if it was a small edition etc etc For me it’s the answer to those who are flipping Invader signed books at crazy prices.

I did not know that. As for my Wipeout book, as it’s unopened I don’t know whether it’s signed or not.
Like Schroeder’s cat - it’s both signed and unsigned at the same time until someone opens it.....

Invader never signed unopened books. How could he do that ?

The problem with signed books is that, unless they are special limited signed editions, many signatures are easy to forge.....

The book is sealed. Obviously he could only sign it before it was sealed

Unseal it anyway, it's only a book and it will stay mint...
