Eric Orr will be releasing 10 original works, inspired by the work he done with Keith Haring. As you may or may not know, Eric was the only artist to collaborate with Keith Haring in the NYC subways. His work is getting more and more attention in the art world as the east coast graffiti scene grows.
Each piece Eric has made for this release has a lot of history and similar works have been shown alongside Basquiat and Haring in NYC. This is the first time Orr has shown with a UK gallery and we are very excited about it.

Eric Orrโ is an artist and designer from New York City. Coming up alongside such talents as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf, and Keith Haring in the late '70s, he pioneered the substitutive style of graffiti art that eschewed "writing" in favor of visual iconography, and in the process, created the distinctive robot that would become his signature and alter-ego. In 1984, he joined forces with Haring to create a series of drawings in the NYC subways that featured his "Max Robot" character alongside Haring's iconic "radiant baby", as well as a series of collaborative marker works. And in 1986, with a grant from Haringโs Pop Shop, he self-published four issues of โRappin' Max Robotโ, the world's first Hip-Hop comic book.
