Revok “Kundalini Loop 1” framing advice, by cscharvel53 on Apr 8, 2021 4:47:15 GMT 1, Hi everyone, I was finally able to get my hands on one of my Revok favorites, his print of Kundalini Loop 1, except framing it has me totally stumped. I’ve now realized I’ve never seen it framed, and I’m trying to sort out how to recreate the beautiful neon drop shadow you see in the images:
dope.gallery/more-prints/kundalini-loop-1-revok
The print is two color on grey, and the back of the print is neon which gives the bright colored glow in the right lighting. I’m basically thinking float mounting with an extra large mat to allow ample light to get in there and reflect, but I don’t KNOW if this will actually work before I send it off to be framed.
Any advice or thoughts?

Revok “Kundalini Loop 1” framing advice, by kwatis on Apr 9, 2021 1:33:29 GMT 1, I'd reach out to the Framing Gallery of Grosse Point. They do all of the Louis Buhl framing, which I believe are who released that specific edition. Mike (I think was is name) is the owner and amazing to deal with.

I would also reach out to the folks at Louis Buhl, they've always been very helpful and responsive when I've had questions. One of my favourite galleries.

Revok “Kundalini Loop 1” framing advice, by Charlie Bronson on Apr 9, 2021 2:20:00 GMT 1, I have this piece framed. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to replicate that effect. Tbh I’m not sure how it’s done. Perhaps it’s an edit to show that the back is that color? Or, maybe a high gloss white mat would show some of the glow. I don’t see any mat showing that much glow though...but what do I know.

Revok “Kundalini Loop 1” framing advice, by cscharvel53 on Aug 5, 2021 12:35:33 GMT 1, Thanks for everyone’s comments (and sorry for the delay-did not have notifications set up). To anyone following the thread, the advice of the gallery was:
2” deep float 2” space around the frame and the float
