I am very fond of this place. Helped me a lot and there are many helpful an knowledgeable members, but that kind of censorship makes me very sad. I guess I'll take a break

What mark did you feel was overstepped?
Several members made the case that the Arlo Sinclair story was suspicious. They showed evidence that could easily be independently checked:
- The management company he apparently signed with owns arlosinclair.com and registered it on the same day Arlo Sinclair opened an Instagram account. This was well before he 'signed' with Toxic Publishing
- Toxic Publishing's business address is a house in the suburbs
- Several members on here said Arlo Sinclair is being "bought by all the right people" and being "talked about in all the right places". He has virtually no Google results and you'll find nobody other than his team talking about him on social media. That's very strange for a supposedly hot artist who commands ยฃ5k a piece
- A group of members on here who were apparently exclusively in-the-know on Arlo Sinclair were similarly informed on Blok, another Toxic Publishing 'artist'. Same members, same 'sold out, long waiting list, get in now' narrative.
All of this could be checked against publicly available information. Overnight, the thread was 'cleaned up', apparently due to "trolling". Somehow, none of FR's posts constituted trolling, but any he argued with did.
There are plenty of threads on here with users calling artists or their management underhanded, but they don't get touched. We don't see any Connor Brothers threads 'cleaned up' when people say they steal art. Why? Why is this thread special?
If people still like Arlo Sinclair's work and want to buy the inevitable print release, no problem. That's their choice. But where's the issue in people drawing attention to inconsistencies in the narrative being set up on this forum. That's good isn't it, to be fully informed?
I'm honestly shocked that the owner of this forum is selectively deleting posts and accounts that upset particular members but contain nothing libellous, abusive or illegal. It raises a lot of questions about how this place is run.

I feel you. But I think that even in this case it kind of worked: quite some useful info has been shared, and will be helpful to the community (after all, this thread is the second most popular source of info on Arlo Sinclair according to google).
Furthermore, actions are informative and revealing, so we all learn who to trust (e.g. I never met Coach , but I would definitely buy a used car from him), and who is bad news instead - "toxic" brands are brands too. Just take notes in case you forget (hint: names change, but handles stay the same).
And honestly, I think that Daniel Silk is right and transparent when he says: "Someone works for the Artist or Gallery and they say how amazing the art is! What do people expect them to say?"

A few months back on another thread I was sent a private message to leave this site along with a photo of a group of people in S&M gear by a person promoting another con artist on here...but I was told to just ignore it! Good job I don't scare easily, but then I've seen scarier things in a toy shop. It always seems to be the good one's that get banned? |

So many regulars have either left or been banned. I almost left but then got some PM's so came back plus Banksy did the Spraycation and whenever they do anything it always seems to lift this forum.

If you put an @ in front of their name they'll get a notification and may reply? Like this biggie So many regulars have either left or been banned. JBoy/Freerange has always been looked after by management despite form on numerous occasions. Hard to believe he was even made a Forum Guardian. That didnโt end well.
