NUART JOURNAL V, by Reader on Apr 30, 2021 23:28:47 GMT 1,
The fifth issue of Nuart Journal is available online at www.nuartjournal.com and in print from May 1st, a symbolic nod to International Workers Day, to honour those essential workers that governments the world over continue to attack, undermine and disenfranchise in the midst of a global pandemic. Applause Please.
Following last year’s FREEDOM issue, this edition explores the theme of LOCKDOWN, and the ways in which artists and researchers have responded to the challenges we’ve encountered over the last year.
The LOCKDOWN edition contains 13 original peer reviewed articles, including John Fekner’s ‘Revisiting The Detective Show’ which links us right back to Gorman Park in Queens, New York, 1978. A quiet affair compared to contemporary street art festivals, but an event which contained all of the foundational elements that form our movement.
A limited print run is available for pre-order via
Paris : shop.legrandj.eu Berlin : hitzerot.com
Otherwise all content is available free online from noon tomorrow via www.nuartjournal.com
This issue is dedicated to the memory of artists Tamara Djurovic aka Hyuro and Don Leicht
