The original run was 1000, from a reputable gallery and his last exhibition before he died. Agreed, not the best looking piece but still I would have expected them to be worth a little more than the circa ยฃ1000 ish prices they sell for at most. 'cause there is no way to be sure that is the first or second print, maybe?
I guess the only way to tell would be the receipt from the gallery showing the date of purchase.

I bought the original Basquait Poster from Yvon Lambert in 2016 and once they produced the new run I went into the Yvon Lambert book shop when I was in Paris to see the new poster. I thought the new run was much brighter and the colour tones in the older version were more muted.

I can see these Harings being a great buy if theyโre anything like the Crack Down poster. they are printed on pearlescent paper so look much nicer in person than crack down. it's a subtle shimmer / texture that's hard to photograph. |
