I suppose for the next banksy release POW could say, pay your £200 and you'll either get a Banksy or 'one of the slower selling prints'!

Bring all the prints that never made it on to the wall and share responsibility of looking after the stall whilst others cruise around and shop. It quite a nice idea huh? It would also probably be one hell of good stall with some really nice pieces of the same genre's. We get to split any overheads and its by the people, for the people. Also we get to meet up and say hi and share drink or two. What do you reckon?

Sounds like a good idea, I hope a few of you can get it together, I'll be well over 100 odd miles away.

I couldn't do this day as I am on holiday but for some time have been thinking that there ought to be a street art fair where all the artists/galleries could have stands and sell their wares. I for one would definitely go with my chequebook!

I saw Gavin Turk and Peter Blake!
Gavin Turk was selling a load of car boots (literally) that he had signed.
Peter Blake had some prints - but they were cash only and by the time I had gone out, found a cash machine and got back they were all gone!
Scrawl Collective were there too - they had a load of their prints - great value too.
Also went to the stolenspace exhibition across the road.
Good day out - absolute nightmare journey there and back though.

I think the Gavin Turks were £1,000 each - which was quite cheap, I thought - although they were basically the back of a hatchback with his autograph on - also I presume you had to take them away. He was round for quite a while though and there were TV cameras.
The Blake prints were only £25 - they were quite small - about A4 with a mount - and they were signed but he was also there personalising them too. He seemed really nice - and his wife (who was selling them ) was really lovely.
Really annoyed I missed out on them - especially when I found out I could have reserved them while I went off looking for the cashpoint.
They said some people were buying 7 or 8 at a time - so no doubt they'll be on ebay very soon - if not already!
I saw somebody there who looked REALLY like that mad wharped manchestermike pic from the whatdoIlooklike thread - but I didn't want to ask as it would have been far too embarassing to explain if it wasn't him!!

I got visited by one of them in the gallery the other day and they had been getting a lot of people going up to them after CANS saying 'which one of you has 'LIVE EAST DIE YOUNG' on your jacket, we want a photo.... So I have given them a donation and im going to release a special Pearly Kings print where all the money goes to their charity (oh god not ANOTHER f*cking charity print I hear you say) .
We're going to roll out the barrel and have a right royal east end knees up.

Not sure if that will happen this year !I spoke to Peter Blake & his daughter at his show at the ink_d gallery about this years fair and they both seemed to think that after last year, (when people were buying up by the armful).That the organisers were gonna try and limit it to one piece of art per person per artist.Lets see what happens ?

Get yourselves down there if you can. Met Sir Peter Blake and picked up a print from him and a print from his wife.
Also big thanks to pure evil, i loved the pearly kings and queens and the stuff looked amazing. Cheers for the I O U 1p as well, i will hold you to that when i come over to your next show! (I was the tall guy at the start with a stupidly mental t-shirt on)
The pure evil original sprays were awesome
