... mr zip ... GT is always a bit odd ... but v underwelming this year ... he also had 'gold, silver & bronze' jewellery ltd ed of 30ea of his biscuit with a piece broken off on a necklace 1) the biscuit was smaller than my little finger nail and I do not have big hands 2) they were all sterling silver - the gold and silver were just plated 3) they were £340ea!
Good to see a few formulites, shame on those who did not say hello!  next time as well as a badge in the middle of my chest, I will ring a friggin' bell!
I have some photos but cannot access my computer to download at the mo  ... also have ONE maybe TWO 'Best Messages of the Week Awards' but that will also have to wait ...

if you like his stuff then a really good deal (considering tea stain on paper in edition of 1000 is £230 on his site)

Only wanted to go for the eine print, but with all the talk around the blake I started to think about it after someone showed me the 'i love you' print he did a few years ago which I quite liked.
however I decided against it and just go for the eines like I first intended and im certainly glad I did. I thought the blake just looked like a free hand out poster + really didnt like the image. but congrats to the guys who got it and liked it.
I then went to the pure evil queue after getting the eine, queued for about 20 mins. was 2 people from the front for them to have all sold out. earlier in a diff queue i had seen a girl with a whole stack of probably around 40 pure evil prints. I dont mind them selling one or two sets but a batch seems a bit unfair.
I carried walking round and then saw the gavin turk. for some reason, im not sure why but i really liked the gavin turk canvas. and for £300 for a ed of 50, it sounded very good to me. I know its very simplistic and minimalist but I found it quite powerful.
I also picked up a gilbert and george signed hand painted book for £60. didnt know these were available and thought it was a good price.

Taking Pure Evil as an example who's 4 main exclusive prints (unicorn , queen , stealing , Kitchener) sold out to the first 150 (if that!) through the gates how about if the artist released them at hourly intervals ?..say the Queen from 12-1pm ....Unicorn 1-2pm .....Stealing 2-3pm .....Kitchener 3-4pm ...shares the booty amongst more people and keeps the artists stall interesting throughout the day.

Both of these sold and would've loved one but my pockets aren't that deep.

he chooses the most boring and old farty images he possibly can and overlaps it with 20 point helvetica text in quotes to make sure you know what it is. It looks like its been done by an art student.
he has a massive archive of stuff and prints out some god awful a3 pages on his epson 1290 (probably not with official ink) to which people buy it because they think hes going to die soon.
if a younger artist was selling these on a stall for silly money no one would bat an eyelid.
People queue up then feel the need to have to buy shit because everyone else is rushing around creating panic.
