I've got some signed postcards for anyone who missed out.

A couple from my folks in Gran Canaria last summer; a mate in NYC and a very rare Victoria Falls circa 1998 from my sister, although can't be sure of condition but probably in a box somewhere in the loft.

Was going to do the full overnight but a flu bug got the better of me yesterday so rocked up about 6:30. Have to say this being my sixth ACBF, I don't relate to all the negative stuff posted on here about the queue at all. I've always found the queues good natured and in the main full of knowledgeable interesting people, plus the UAA crew :-)

Once inside, I found there to be very few genuine bargains and the overall standard I thought was poor and many items were very pricey. One item that was cheap, the Blake, really was a very weak image and will no doubt be easy to pick up on eBay at cost price soon. The only two things I picked up was a Bruce McLean lithograph and a Keith Coventry print.

Fair play to everyone that got a Harland, but it seemed a very complicated way by AOAPC to release in this way. They really should've made it clearer that there were only 30 to be released on the day, as I know a few people assumed that 40 would be. Who knows where the other 10 will end up. This isn't a slight on the Boot Fair itself as AOAPC was just a stallholder and has to take responsibility for its art. AOAPC must have caused more unnecessary clarfication emails and social medial posts than all the stalls put together. Even a couple of hours beforehand no one knew what was going on.

All in all this event appeals to the masses and is incredibly popular, but I always leave it feeling it could be so much better than it is.

Coat hangers, postcards and bricks.... taking the car boot element of this a bit too far this year methinks.

Are people surprised art on a Postcard have released a Postcard-sized print 😀
I don't think you'll find a signed/limited Harland for 10-15 times the price..and gives ppl without that budget/wall space to get one, for a great cause

Im sure it looks awesome. They all look great IMO. When I was with Dario last week and he was talking me through the process on these he said it was a "digital print". He may have been mistaken then? No worries.

Couldnt drink any more cider so went in in the end.

Apart from the Harland I think the original drawings by Charming Baker and Rachel Howard were a highlight. Also a print by Bruce McLean for £40, which was better quality than most prints released nowadays. It's true it lacks something but there's always something to find. I'm too exhausted to think anymore. Just to reiterate though. Someone has said the Harland is not a postcard but a small print and is good quality. Jealous did a good job. Good stock, deckled edges and small.

Draw is/was at 5..what number got lucky?
