Picked up one of the miaz prints. The only other print I wanted (Juno calypso) had sold out before I got there. If anyone wants to double their money on that one let me know.

Art Car Boot Fair, by Gunny on Jun 23, 2019 16:59:19 GMT 1, Thought it was pretty good myself! Charming Baker prints were really good at £200 for the pair, hand drawn bird also. Much better than previous art car boot fairs IMO.
Juno Calypso - brilliant, bargain at £100.
Biggest bargain IMO - Patrick Hughes originals for £250, amazing price. Sold out pretty quick!
Other notables - Schoony toys £60, Miaz Brothers pair of prints £250, Rachael Howard signed poster at £30

Art Car Boot Fair, by Dibbs 45 on Jun 23, 2019 17:51:03 GMT 1, Thought it was good. Relaxed no bun fights etc. I bought a charming Baker, a Susie Hamilton orginal which were a bargain at £100 and the Juno Calypso print all but last one.
I agree the Patrick Hughes originals were a bargain. don't remember them selling out quick as hovered over them and went back later and still didn't buy.
I think it did lack atmosphere. Bob an d Roberta Smith played to the crowd at one point but apart from that not much in the way of entertainment.

Art Car Boot Fair, by Happy Shopper on Jun 23, 2019 18:24:35 GMT 1, Much shorter queue than last year, at least when we got there around 2pm. Only took a few minutes and we were in!
Eine canvases were nice, but gallery prices so weren’t selling too quick. Used stencils were interesting though... Thinking now I should have bought one. Miaz Brothers were nice guys, and their make your own portrait stand was fun (frosted glass to stand behind and take a photo)
Only thing we got in the end was the full size Mustafa Hulusi paster from Flying Leaps! HUGE!!

It was a (quite) small one of her new "sports" portfolio. I bought last year's print and missed this one. She was hanging around chatting even though every single thing of hers had sold out.
She doesn't really do (so far) big affordable print runs (either posters or small expensive runs) so this is a great way to pick up something of hers on the cheap! Well done to those that picked one up - she is definitely on the up at the moment.

Art Car Boot Fair, by Winks on Jun 23, 2019 19:38:17 GMT 1, Had a good day. Got there an hour or so early but I think we went in before 1.00
The Bakers were flying off the shelves from the start. Got a pair of those. Was slightly anxious to discover that although boxed the prints were free range inside. Luckily no damage.
Nice Miaz stand with the photo opportunity behind the Miazesque frosted glass frame.
As the earlier poster mentioned, the used Eine stencils were interesting. I don’t think they had considered how they were going to pack them and I saw one sold with tissue wrapped round it. Not ideal.
Ben didn’t deck my missus, so that was a bonus.
Mr Bingo had the neatest stall as expected but not much that wasn’t available on his website.
A good day and the falafel was flowing freely.
😁

Are you sure that was the case. We went out for half and hour and they let us to the front to go straight back to the front and in again without queuing.
I’m pretty sure if you had an advanced ticket you could enter prior to the riff raff (😁)

Watching fully grown women and men shouting and squeezing their way to the front, “ I’ll take both birds!!!” I’d say it was a bit like Complex Con for older people. So much shoving. It was amazing how many people elbowed their way to the front, then when they got there they didn't know what they actually wanted. A woman in front of me barged past several people then said, "Can you show me the Charming Baker? What is it?" Idiot.
Thought there was quite a lot of good stuff there yesterday. Liked all the Miaz Brothers prints, which were well priced, and the best Charming Baker work I've seen there. Only intended to get one but panicked and bought both. Was pleased for Schoony that he sold out completely (was lucky to get the last Boots print). Kicking myself for not getting to Juno Calypso earlier because I really wish I'd bought her print.
Really fun day and most people there are super friendly. You'll always get some annoying, entitled people but the majority are nice.

Art Car Boot Fair, by eschiff on Jun 24, 2019 11:24:30 GMT 1, I didn't buy an advanced ticket this year, showed up about 3 and basically walked right in. The miaz prints were still there but didn't do much for me - the highlight for me was Mr Bingo's stand - bought one of his gravestones which he kindly inscribed and doodled with a Hate Mail type message.
Also picked up one of the Bench Allen prints from jealous for a tenner. Otherwise was just a nice lazy afternoon looking at some interesting, and some not so interesting art.
