really? i mean is this what this forum is all about? so sine i can't afford a happy chopper or a colored trolley and ther are definitely some forum members who purchased at cost and may not love the image, may want to swap out something in there portfolio for something new... I guess whatthe other people say about this forum is true i mean look at how many people have decided not to post and just lurk? if you look at the 14pms i received, then maybe you would understand the logic behind it...
howmany of you guys still have the nbg you qued up for? how come we dont ask pow for a registered list of names and original purchasers? i know my name has never changed COA's since my name was put on one of my 6
a genuine collector you call yourself?
a genuine collector does not with bad on a persons print, by doing so, your just depriving the community of one less print
and to cry and rant about not being able to gt this in the hand of a collector... please thast so childish
maybe i should just hold this for this years banksy release? then maybe it would be fair? one of you guys could trade me this years print the same day and say, " i had buyers remorse " LOL < we all know thats a bunch of hogwash if we ever heard any, yes so maybe we can do a trade and it won't be flipping? maybe just maybe, its because its a trade on the uk side and only americans are flippers...
maybe its because you can't see me supposedly flipping prints, but just the finger to all you hating hypocrites....

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by Brushstrokes 75 on Nov 7, 2010 14:27:15 GMT 1, Just to flatten the debate.... People are giving you hard time for different reasons..
- what you're doing is a total flip (it's okay with me as it's part of the game.. kudos to you to have scored 2). I'm sure you'll sell your print on the forum or on ebay... There are 10,000 members but not 10,000 are active...
- People are not accepting because you don't assume that you're flipping the print.. Sorry to tell you that but you're trying to trade an $800 released print for a $3,000 print.. It wouldn't be a flip if you would sell it at cost or trade it for something worth $800.
- Don't sell a print that you don't have in hands ( ie haven't received yet...). - You can't compare someone that wants to trade an happy chopper bought in 2003 with a print you don't even have in hands... One would have sold it long ago if one wouldn't like the image....
- Be realistic there is a difference between buying a print because you like it. You keep it for some times and may its value appreciated you could trade it for something else. You're blaming people for having bought banksy's prints in 2003 and not selling them for cost... It's like you were blaming people for having bought signed picasso's prints in the 1950's....
Now my belief is that you could probably sell it it easily on ebay making a profit saving enough money to maybe grab something else that you want...

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by Lunch Special on Nov 7, 2010 14:47:24 GMT 1, THANKS BRUSH BUT....
The money isn't what i am after, I truly just want another one of Mr B's prints to add to the folio before the foliage starts setting in....
as far as not having the print in hand, you are absolutely right! thast why i am offering it up to trade and not for sale
i have been offered 1800 on this forum, if i wanted to, i could accept and put tha the towards the purchase of a print, in my honest adn professional opinion, that is what is a flip!
now acquiring two prints to lower the purchase price of the print I AM keeping is the key to staying int he art game
i know for a fact that most of you guys that qued up for the NBG's release had all kinds of buyers remorse, how many of you are still registered at POW as the original owners?
I have 7 coa's, thought it was six, all of them shall remain in my name as the registered owner, how many of you can say the same?
Who here can cast the first stone?
as i stated before:
KAWS SPONGE BOB PRINT FOR TRADE FOR YOUR HAPPY CHOPPER OR OTHER UNSIGNED BANKSY PRINT YOU MAY HAVE PAID COST FOR AND NEVER REALLY LOVED THE IMAGE, MAYBE YOUR LADY HATES IT AND LOVES BOB, WHO CARES REALLY? AS LONG AS TWO PEOPLE (YOU AND I) ARE HAPPY WITH A TRADE THAT GOES ON OUR WALLS AND NOT THAT OF THE FORUMS MEMBERS WHO JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT THE ART OF COLLECTING INVOLVES BUYING AND RESELLING AT TIMES AND YOU CAN MAKE SOME OF THE PEOPLE HAPPY SOME OF THE TIME BUT YOU CAN NEVER MAKE THE MEMBERS OF THE URBANART FORUMS HAPPY ALL THE TIME
AGAIN I REITERATE: NOT LOOKING TO SELL OUTRIGHT OPEN TO TRADES

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by Poppy Sunshine on Nov 7, 2010 14:54:07 GMT 1, Just not sure you'll get the swap you want but fair play for trying.
I'm also a bit bemused why anyone would offer ยฃ1800 for this when there are half a dozen or more on ebay for about ยฃ500 less.
Bizarre at the very least.

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by Lunch Special on Nov 7, 2010 16:37:21 GMT 1, That art market you talk about is driven by what you don't have, not what do have. That's why they limit the editions. So don't blame lunchyboy for capitalizing on a supply and demand situation. If the man wants to try and swap one for another let him be. If he succeeds, then some of you will have to eat your words. If he doesn't I'm sure he'll be choking on his own.
thank you

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by pcant on Nov 7, 2010 19:05:34 GMT 1, I don't mean to pile on, and I don't have a dog in this hunt (don't want the KAWS, don't have a print to trade), but my two cents is this: The frustrating part is that the trader got two prints when it was supposed to be limited to one. If you had bought one and sold or traded it, that's fine (still flipping, but fine, in my opinion). By getting two, you deprived someone else of getting one at cost, as the artist intended. By buying two, you also game the market, driving up demand by reducing the supply.

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by Lunch Special on Nov 8, 2010 14:49:06 GMT 1, ok so to correct the current flipper drama and to ease all this textual frustration...he he
Here is a proposition for ya: Would anyone promise me this years banksy release straight up for the kaws? All i heard was, oh you'll be lucky to get a banksy, oh your silly... yadda yadda yadda...
That way ALL you grown ass men can ALL stop crying.....unless its your birthday of course....ha
i mean, how were any of you going to get the print anyway all the way over there on the other side? did each and everyone of you have anyone to pick it up?
Why didn't anyone call and ask for an over the phone order? i saw Lise taking phone orders and put 10 aside
men shouldn't cry about a colored piece of paper until all there remedies have been exhausted....

Kaws โข Sponge Bob KawsBob Set, Yellow, Black, Red, by saint on Nov 8, 2010 15:12:39 GMT 1, Look, its up to you what you do with your belongings, flip em or not, who cares in the grand scheme??
I think the reason people are a bit offended is that a) you did it so quick after buying, b) you got two which stopped others getting them (see the kaws thread as one guy said he missed out by 1 print), and c) you try and flip but try calling it a trade as if that wont annoy people.
If it were me, i'd have waited to see if people asked for the print, and than pm'd them to say you had one, rather than waving it in everyones face. Yes it is still a flip, but its not so blatant and frankly rude to anyone who didnt score.
I didnt want the kaws print, but i do remember the Josh Keyes release which i did want and how many 'collectors' flipped that straight away, so i can see why people would be annoyed with ya in this case.
PS, i really dont care at all, just thought i'd try and explain why peeps might be annoyed.
