What if there were some legit ones?
I think it would be the most beautiful thing. People find them and all of a sudden own an original Banksy and will cherish them with all their heart.
But as PC won't verify or even confirm they exist and they are super easy to fake, you can't make any money out of them and everybody you tell about it will think you are crazy.
But you know it and you love it. Isn't that what art is about?

According to their own estimates the value of the entire lots combined is £105,000.
And with £26,250 going to "charity" They are set to pocket £78,750 from this scam.
At this point they are now committing a serious criminal offence and if convicted all those involved are most likely to receive a custodial sentence due to the serious nature of the offence. Charity donation's do not make you exempt from breaking the law and I would argue that this is a mitigating factor that would be detrimental to the defendants on trial. Make no mistake If this auction goes ahead arrests will be made and people will go to jail.

It's actually less of a crime than banksy and Sotheby's did commit with the shredded balloon girl.

They don't claim banksy painted it and they don't have a fake pest control coa. It clearly states they are either bought or found near Dismaland. There won't be any arrests as they don't make fake claims. There should be arrests made on different people, that's for sure.

I'm starting to think that you are JPS. Your unhealthy obsession with this topic isn’t doing you any favours. I don't know how many times it needs to be explained to you but from a legal perspective an artist has the final say on whats authentic and when it was executed. It should come as no surprise that Pest Control have an army of the best art lawyers money can buy and as explained before they would have sought consultation with legal experts before proceeding with a stunt like this. Their legal team carried out due diligence, after-all that’s what they get paid for and it would have been green lighted before being taken into Sotheby's

No crime or wrongdoing was ever committed and if you are still concerned that a crime took place why not raise your concerns with the relevant authorities ie the Police. Getting your knickers in a twist trying to force Jo Brooks or Pest Control to issue a statement about a non event is stupidity absurd and just makes you look stupid. Furthermore you are putting in a serious amount of effort into having an innocent man jailed for a crime he never committed, you are being extremely vindictive and malicious and I'm sure any sensible person would want no part in your feeble manipulation efforts. You should go away and have a serious think about what you are doing. 

I remember some more wellknown artists left some art in Dismaland. What is the name of this guy selling or making Mickey on dollars or tenners.. Not Penny, well can't remember. I am still friend with him on Facebook and yes he hided - as a competition or a art giveway on Bristol each friday -, 10 or 20 notes in the park. I remember the challenge.

What is dramatic and a shame is the fake of now and the sales for this...
Bankys mixing modern art and fairground, fairground arts dismaland park was caught in its own trap..
Anyway why should they care ?! It's not from them, not from the Pest control ressort.
Problem are the same, this art - as tenners or petrol bombs posters - sold in galleries or in auction...

I don't get why you think JPS would be the only one who's caring about that matter.  Can you imagine that others, also the other people who bid on that piece and believed it was a 2006 one, have the right to ask questions? How did it make it past the high end auction house? We only heard the excuse of the frame, not more. 

If a legal team would have been contacted with that artwork, they surely would have said that it should look like the other 2006 balloon girls. (See attached photo). And also Sothebys art experts would have seen that it wasnt executed in 2006 but a new more detailed version. I believe it skipped these checks to be fair.

I read that article and I'm a banksy owner and even though it's uncomfortable claims and questions, I dont want to close my eyes to it and think there should be an official statement or legal actions against JPS and creativefolk to clear things up - since so many of you mentioned this top lawyers that shouldn't be a problem. I surely would sue them if they would put out such massive false accusations against me, isnt that slander?

If no criminal offence was committed, then no fraud was committed and if no fraud was committed no crime took place. 

Its amazing how many accounts jps seems to have in this forum, the last weeks basically everyone who had a different opinion than the main stream or asked uncomfortable questions has been accused of being him.
Reminds me of dark times in history, when you couldn't say your opinion without being crucified.

Banksy really needs to secure his trademark, that's the only way he can stop this raping of his market.

Jesus, I thought the cardboard pieces were bad, but those canvas ones are hideous! The fake authentication letter should definitely tip it over into outright fraud, surely?
