Got a cup for my wife's birthday, so I'm good, just seems like a needlessly finicky way of selling stuff... They are a tease aren't they. As I alluded to earlier, it seems that they trickling a few out at a time. I suppose you can understand that they would rather sell in-store to punters who are visiting the museum exhibition and also save on the hassle of packaging, if indeed there are only 300.

He sometimes releases non-numbered trinkets in small-ish numbers for a lot less than they could be. I think the piggy bank (not numbered or signed) was something like ยฃ100 (may have been ยฃ150) and was immediately selling for ten times that. Received my mug today. As far as i remember gay black cats was not signed or limited either (I might be wrong though) I'm gutted that I didn't pull the trigger on both.

So when these strange days have all blown over i'll get my framers to put it in the black box frame with a black backing.
Plate arrived today. Beautiful lil piece. Where did we land on framing options? I have a black Ikea Box frame which I got my framers to frame a Peckham Rocks postcard in. I got a couple of them at the same time as I was paying for delivery and tried the plate in this frame and it looks great. So when these strange days have all blown over i'll get my framers to put it in the black box frame with a black backing. |

If the pottery on display was any indication of Grayson Perry's mind then they are complicated and a bit fucked / complicated! It did really make you feel connected to the artists experience of the world. Thought provoking would be a fair observation I think.
