The documentaries/ films, as you say, really bring the images to life. The meaningful interaction with deprived and forgotten communities is eye opening and moving - would recommend a visit if you are over that way......

JR Chronicles at Saatchi opens Today !!, by vernaxley on Sept 9, 2021 10:44:36 GMT 1, I finally got to see the JR Chronicles show at the Saatchi Gallery. Seeing his work on a gallery wall never quite does it justice. However, watching the documentary films that accompany his projects is the key to unlocking the true power of what he achieves. In this sense the show is remarkable and one of the best I've seen in a long, long time. He is as much an orator and documenter as he is a photographer who has created some truly memorable art with a genuine impact locally, nationally and globally. I canโt believe he doesnโt get more recognition in the mainstream press.

We stayed a lot longer than we thought we would - there are so many interesting videos about the making of the pieces to take in
There's also an installation where you can upload a selfie to a videowall. We just kept uploading pics until we'd filled the whole wall, lol

I went about a month ago, on a Saturday morning & there was a nice amount of people, Was probably there two hours in total. It was a great start to the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it!!

If itโs the same as London, itโs fantastic - give yourself plenty of time as there is a lot to see!
