Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 11, 2021 14:48:15 GMT 1, Hi everyone.
My sister in law lost her fiancee to cancer last year in a matter of weeks at a time in their life where all the ducks had just lined up for them to look to a future of love and happiness as a couple. It doesn't seem fair.
Anyway, in memory of our lost family member and in support of those near and dear to us and everyone else who are fighting this disease in its many forms we are joining the Macmillan Mighty Hike next weekend in the Lake District where we will be doing a 26 mile marathon hike to raise funds for the charity.
As part of this I'm having a bit of a clear out and am hoping that anyone interested will make offers on the pieces I'm pulling out of the stores to add to the funds.
I'm not really sure of the price of any of these things so will be happy to look at offers and will give a link to my new just giving page for buyers to send their payment/donation to.
I'll take care of all postage myself so no need to worry about that.
Anyway, to start the list is the following.
Tracey Emin -I am the last of my kind Royal Academy poster print mint and tubed. Damien Hirst - repeat pattern gold Pharmacy wallpaper
Beejoir- believing Standard from editions of 3- Famous for fuck all, Fuck the filth and Full of PR shit.
Jboy- Gold tricycle AP.
Bortusk Leer- Led Zeppelin LP cover with monsters.
Mike and Doug Starn snowflake photos- all everything that is you- sno7-077 and sno7-057. These are 8 x 8 inch limited edition photos with signed certificates from the 20x200 series of editions.
Rourke Van Dal- Last bus home from the edition of 20.
I have more posters and stuff to add but will do this when I've sorted photos etc. Thanks for looking.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 12, 2021 8:45:31 GMT 1, Thank you very much for the kind words.
I'm being asked prices but have no idea.
Perhaps ยฃ50 each for most of the prints and ยฃ100 each for the Beejoirs?
I don't know.
Please let me know your own thoughts.
At the end of the day I need to sell them and any amount is good for the charity.
Thank you so much.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 12, 2021 17:54:18 GMT 1, That is unbelievably generous, thank you so much.
So , if anyone is interested in the Emin poster it is mint and tubed and ready to post and your buying price will be automatically doubled so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are considering a purchase.
Big thanks to all who have been in touch so far and don't forget everything needs to be converted into cash to do any good for the charity so please don't be frightened to make offers as there is no chance of offence being caused.
Hope you're all having a good weekend. We have football, sunshine and a newly adopted rescue dog so all is well.

I guess it's no secret that these are for sale at the RA for ยฃ25 plus ยฃ5.95 postage so it would be nice to get cost price or anything else would be a bonus.
No pressure either way and all offers are gratefullly received with this one in particular being doubled by another generous forum member of course.
Best wishes.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 14, 2021 17:01:25 GMT 1, Well the generosity is piling up and I can't thank you all enough.
It really does mean a lot and I have passed on the good will and kind words to the family.
They are overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and will certainly be very comforted with this emotional weekend coming up.
Bren thank you so much for the offer on the Emin poster. I will very gladly accept before anyone outbids you as I'm sure you are aware that Mentisstatum has generously offered to match the bid and I wouldn't want to take too much advantage of that
Thank you too Coach. Happy to accept your offer on the Beejoir. I've always liked these prints but they've never made the wall and I can't help thinking there will be a man cave or games room somewhere that would suit them very well.
And thank you Ravnur for the nice words and suggestion of posting the link. I've only just fathomed out how to make the page and link so it doesn't yet have photos or anything exciting added to it.
www.justgiving.com/fundraising/chris-walker81
As a side note I got an email from the love welcomes charity this afternoon and The edge from U2 is promoting limited edition guitar straps made partly with life jackets as per the Banksy welcome mats. Interesting for anyone who plays guitar or just for U2 fans or collectors.
Please keep looking in as I'm going to add items as they surface. Love and best wishes everyone.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 15, 2021 9:21:11 GMT 1, Thank you all again for the love and support.
I've had an enquiry about a price for all of the Francis Bacon posters and hope the potential buyer doesn't mind me asking the forum for advice.
Obviously I am happy with anything that we can raise at all hence asking for offers but the member has asked me for a suggested figure. Please bear in mind that I don't want to frighten him off with something too high as that won't help the cause.
Any suggestions here or via pm would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 15, 2021 15:19:34 GMT 1, Another generous donation has taken the Bortusk Leer. Please don't hold back on your offers whatever they are. The charity don't get the money if I don't sell. Thanks again.
Below I've added a Rugman Marilyn print from a few years back. Another one that I've always liked but has never made the wall.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 16, 2021 10:53:11 GMT 1, Thanks very much ravnur.
Hirst paper and Penny chip now gone thanks to more gratefully received support.
Still waiting on a reply for all of the Bacons in one deal but they remain available and I'd love to get everything else away too so please feel free to make offers as high or low as you can manage.
I might not have much time to add more before the weekend but below is a Patrick Hughes "caught in a cage" rainbow print from the 1979 edition of 150. Surely worth a couple of hundred pounds but I've not seen a lot of his work about recently to compare.
DONATION ACCEPTED. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 17, 2021 10:16:08 GMT 1, I've just found a couple more things to add.
Can you remember these?
L.E.T (Les Enfant Terrible) edition of 45 from edge art. I bet they had a mare packing them and probably lost all the profit on shipping. They came flat between plywood and are about 5 feet tall although I've not got a tape to hand to measure it.
Also, I found another piece of Damien Hirst pharmacy wallpaper in silver. Single repeat pattern.

Charity Sales Thread for Macmillam Cancer Research, by christoffero on Jun 21, 2021 10:00:34 GMT 1, Hi everyone.
Thank you again for all of the support.
I completed the hike around Ullswater at the weekend and I have to tell you it was not fun and my feet are definitely not pretty. However, it was extremely worthwhile and a real boost for the friends and family involved who kept smiling throughout.
I'm not going to hammer the fund raising any more but thought I'd tell you that after another offer this morning the donation total raised from the forum alone is approaching ยฃ800 and I am extremely grateful.
Please have a last look just in case you feel you can help in any way. Any offers will help so please don't be shy. It would be nice if we could take it to the ยฃ1000 and there is still enough on offer to do this but we need to convert it to cash.
Love and best wishes to all who have been so generous and thanks to everyone else for at least looking and considering. xx
