Paul Insect's  exhibition in Athens – Greece (and an echo from the past)…

Yesterday was the opening of Paul Insect s exhibition in Athens in Allouche Benias Gallery. Being a true believer I rushed to the center of Athens this morning despite the heat wave, lack of means of transportation (cannot drive!) and the rise of covid infections.

The news of the upcoming exhibition brought a bitter sweet feeling inside. It was a reminder of another event, which I missed, and greatly regret; the exhibition of Bast. I find it so proper and so well thought to have in the same walls presented the masterpieces of Paul. And whether one is a believer or not, I did get a fleeting feeling of an echo from the past blending with our present. I think its called memory of things and certainly I ll never forget...

Allouche Benias, thank you for making the impossible possible: bring to us such incredible artworks, in a magical space, with love and care. It is greatly appreciated!

All works were untitled. I have added a little commend over them, I hope it wont be perceived as inappropriate or pretentious…

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
between the crosses, row on row...

Her early leaf s a flower;
