Hirst Posters, tubes and flattened…, by Lroy on Jul 17, 2021 14:07:33 GMT 1, I brung back from Damien Hirst exhibition some posters( 6 for me+ 2 flips + 2 gifts, +small ones, lovely ones, really) .. impressive !
so my question is simple :
May I have ( paper is thick and quality, printing and colors are great ) to flattering them or I can keep them on tubes during :
1. Weeks
2. months
3. Years
or I have to keep them flat ! Thanks for the answer it will be very helpful:-) .. ( WLD : weekend laziness disorder …)
i will post soon photos about my trip to Damiensland/Hirstmaland )

Ok, thanks ! I have had a Jboy print ( kept one year or more in the tube as I heard ) and it has been catastrophic when I opened it ( rubbish , unrollable, creases everywhere ) ..
But, yes maybe posters are different : anyway I will have to check if the posters are in double and in the right tubes ).. but keeping them flat wass so exhausting..,
Just received a damaged print with big crease : what is happening with galleries ?! Since Covid they seem to don’t care and send prints, mini prints etc in awful condition..
It was not like that by the past …

It was so heavy with the book too ( the book is incredible really and the uk one is bargain ! go on it )... My head is full of color and joyce... My Dismaland bis ( In more than 10 years I travel only to times, oen for Banksy, one for Hirst, Banksirst ! .. It is good for brain and met formidable people.. I odn't dare to open these tubes lol ! I Don't want to spoil these beauties... Here are just tats and tees ( postcards are in a nice pack, but I think the luxurious Tote bag at 29 e is the most beautiful one ) .. Anyway better posting photos of the exhibition but I am still a bit tired about the exhibition ( just woke up )... No so much young ahaha

The problems with tubes come when you have silkscreen prints in thicker paper Thank you for the answer ! back to the initial post : i 'am a bit scared anyway ( I just received a spoiled print from another artist, and it's really worrying ) , to check if they are in the right tubes, to check the 6 different ones and to take photos, I have to sort them out and to put them back in a tube, or not maybe i will put them under a big frame ; A bit risky ... It's like a treasure for me 
Anyway the small ones ( the ones of the exhibitiion, not these tubes ) are genjus ones : the paper seems to be in relief ! a reussite really ! Cartier is really ok !

The 2 gifts are for people that helped me to go back to Paris where I lived, it costed me a lot, and i had to sell obey prints.
Anyway If I make a giveaay, I will ask a neutral member to sort the winning number, as this no cheating, even my worst ennemy could get one ( no please no, not cookiemosnter ahahah ) ...
And in autumn, I will go back there to buy more and more, and above all, the tote bag ! I felt in love with Hirstein ! So clever lad !
Signed posters and books ( I sympahtized quickly with a girl there ) , were for people on a private listing.

I passed all the morning ( just finished ! ) to sort the posters out the tubes and to flatter the prints : yes I m saying “prints“ as these posters are very thick as said this eBay seller ( 220 mg art paper ), last photo.
i got my six - I was afraid to had one in double ) + small ones etc ) not easy to sort out the big posters of the tubes as they( Cariter staff ) rolled up in it without cristal paper, they were heavy and stuck the cardboard, so you will can see some ( really ok - not dramatic ahah ) creases on some …
Here they are - can’t remember which ones are in double but the first one is reserved I guess.
Anyway if you buy some, take them out of the tubes, they will be as cardboards in few months ! ( apart the little ones - I like litle ones ahha evenif others are classy ) :
Anyway they are wonderful and will be available in the museum until January 2022 ( last update, my first pic of the posters is genius ! so many colors lol... )

Yes, it’s incredible that Cartier did not take more attention - even if the price is low, quality and talent have no price - , when they roll them
In the tube ! I cared too ( it took me all the morning and just finished to eat simple nems ), but well prints seemed stuck at the tube ! What a job !

Anyway They are awesome for the price and I understand you for the writing ( I heard this in the queue, from ladies.... guys too, no discriminiation ) .
As it 's a pink writing I like all of them, and they are the part of the artworks ( named ) ...
But I could undestand that a 80 cm on 60 could be a lot for a flat, home etc... X6, as they are 6 !
Anyway, I am not married with Cartier, nor Hirst, nor Bresson, But I reckon that they are very classy and awesome quality for posters !
Pure beauty when you have seen the exhibition ( even a manager from Cartier told me that they were great before going, and I was not deceipt - with free tube too ) ...
To finish, the best ones - for me - as a great mariage with colors and writing are the small ones, those that are in the Paris streets. I like the quality of the small ones ( really poetics as all the posters and the exhibition )..
I felt in love with Hirst.
He gave me joy in my life, first one, since decades... colors.. - and a good night since years too - and I love flowers too, I hated them before ..
Anyway " cerisiers en fleurs " are the best trees in the world ! I remember this street near Holland Park, before Kensington, white ones all along.. wow, what a street !
Cherry blossoms are the gems of industrial and crowdy capitals, or towns.. Only London can have them.
