Limited edition prints etc, by punk77 on Jul 30, 2021 16:17:09 GMT 1, Been on here a while, but mostly collect old music posters. Thats being said, I've more recently collected or looked at collecting some popular names: Harland, Conner brothers, Mason Storm, Roys people as examples Most editions seem to be 1, increasing in edition numbers, 2 increasing in release frequency and 3 many ending up on ebay with flippers before price falls back.
I get this feeling that although i mostly purchase to look at and not a fast buck, that the future values may not end well. I am now thinking buy less but for more £ or avoid these artists. Thoughts please.

Limited edition prints etc, by amz on Jul 30, 2021 17:06:21 GMT 1, Avoid the artists if it bothers you that much. For many artists they want their art to be available for as many people as possible. What you can fetch on the secondary market when/if you need to sell isn’t necessarily their responsibility. People will equally complain if edition sizes are small, not frequent and end up flipping at extortionate levels on eBay because of that.

Limited edition prints etc, by eD on Jul 30, 2021 17:12:08 GMT 1, If you want to reduce your downside then you'd need to buy pieces buy artists with proven track records - like the ones you've mentioned. @dmatt is right, buy what you actually like looking at.

Limited edition prints etc, by Happy Shopper on Jul 30, 2021 17:26:44 GMT 1, Spending more won't make you more. Buy artists you like... but also buy artists you like AND have a good following.
Most of those artists you listed are like factories, knocking stuff out for the money, and I don't think many people take them particularly seriously as investments. Pretty pictures though (and that's not always a bad thing!)
