The last 18 months has been very hard on a lot of people, but help is out there www.samaritans.org/

who's behind the KAWS market rise? (is it Geismar?), by nottanutta on Aug 5, 2021 5:43:29 GMT 1, I saw a discussion where he didn't even know what the hand painted astro boys were made of.
Not only did he already own at least one, he bought more at the Nigo auction.
Somewhat embarrassing for someone who throws around so much money.

who's behind the KAWS market rise? (is it Geismar?), by Newar on Aug 5, 2021 9:08:26 GMT 1, He also represent Invader for many years. The familly business (world leader of railway parts machine) is boring so he moves into arts and restaurants. It's good to have done a good business school and have money. Nothing changes , business as usual

who's behind the KAWS market rise? (is it Geismar?), by Happy Shopper on Aug 5, 2021 10:29:20 GMT 1, I think the answer you're looking for is yes... possibly... this guy put on the big Kaws exhibition in Hong Kong, with most of his own collection, and at the same time bought that Kimpsons canvas for a record amount.
Clearly his collection goes up in value as the perceived auction results go up, as long as people buy into it.
And probably no coincidence that Invader's prices went through the roof when his gallery started representing him.
All speculation, but seems quite likely.
