I got in touch with the wonderful duo, but were told they were not doing any more commisions until after their show. I just know that in the meantime prices have rocketed and yet another artist (see Hush) has flown out of my budgetary atmosphere....

Put it on a street corner and someone will very quickly grab it and quite possibly put in on ebay where it will get about 3000 quid (or maybe more).
Opening up a can of worms, if this thread can be juxta-posed to musicians, I like to think of myself as Nick Drake or possibly Tim Buckley. Whilst ruralhick and mattmo would be Plastic Betrand or Jilted John or maybe Captain Sensible.
Sort that one out.......and reply in kind, I am loving this......

The problem with this forum is that pieces like this (and there are countless other 'artists' that could be mentioned) are mixed in with posts about artists like Jose Parla, Adam Neate etc. There is no quality control. People get confused. They think because these artists are discussed on the same pages that they bear similar consideration and criticism. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you're spouting shit like above we should be able to challenge it. Try criticising one of the Parla pieces from the recent Italian show and we might hear something interesting instead of wasting words on 'art' that does not merit it.
