Banksy - Love Is In The Bin @ Sotheby’s , by Winchester on Sept 4, 2021 17:50:41 GMT 1, It's way beyond one person (and I'm not male) , just check out the comments on Sotheby's Instagram. People are bored of this scam and lost the respect of Banksy. Selling a piece that was supposed to be painted in 2006 - which it wasn't - as executed in 2018 is like me replacing the engine of my 2006 car today and selling it as a 2021 car. OH and if the description of the piece at the first auction in 2018 was correct, why did it got deleted recently? 3 years later? Who gets back and deletes correct facts? I tell you : nobody. Because it was a backdated piece. Deleting the description is admitting it. Even in this thread people are suspicious of the "gifted to jo" part. He's cashing right in with backdated pieces chucked on the market by himself. Edit : the dropping market shows as well how people are turning their backs on him and are sick of fraud. I think you may have mentioned this before.....
And? Of course, cuz it's facts. Now they claim the piece was executed in 2018 - before they sold it as 2006. So what's true now?

Banksy - Love Is In The Bin @ Sotheby’s , by mojo on Sept 4, 2021 18:19:52 GMT 1, As I understand it the painting was created in 2006 and then framed and gifted to 'Jo' years later on the p r o v i s o (damn that word change thingy) it wouldn't ever be auctioned. Why don't you contact Fiona Bruce and Philip Mould and they can do a forensic test and confirm how old the paint is? It became a new artwork in 2018 after it went through the shredder.
Well then you understand wrong. The (made up) story of the piece was, that it was gifted in 2006 shortly after "barely legal". When it was gifted, it aparently already had the shredder built in.
Funny enough, in the video of him "building" the shredder (that wouldn't work like this anyway) you see the green ikea lamp "forza" that wasn't published until August 2018.
But we all know the story is bullshit anyway, don't we, jo? It has absolutely, categorically nothing to do with me, there are lots of people called Jo. I can't even imagine ever being so upset/suspicious/moody about anything as trivial as this! Everyone else just thought it was funny...its just entertainment.

Banksy - Love Is In The Bin @ Sotheby’s , by Winchester on Oct 5, 2021 16:18:35 GMT 1, Changed from executed in 2018 to completed in 2018. They can't make up their mind. So when was it actually painted ? Is there only 9 days left of Banksy?
Just noticed the birth year changes a lot through listings as well

Nobody cares. Give it up fgs.
Pretty sure the people interested in the article (and who are willing to pay a lot of money for it) actually do care. And they aren't the only ones, questions are being asked and no answers have been given so far. "Speculations" around that piece could have easily been stopped with an official statement by team Banksy or even with a clever move by their lawyers. But nothing happened.
Fact is, that Sotheby's is changing the description constantly - and that wouldn't be needed if the whole thing wouldn't be a bunch of lies.

Banksy - Love Is In The Bin @ Sotheby’s , by Fairxat on Oct 6, 2021 1:31:46 GMT 1, Interesting decision for the seller to flip it now. B’s auction prices seem to have hit a bit of a low; unless it’s a totally different ball game when it comes to high ticket canvases🤷🏻♂️ prints far outweigh canvasses in edition size, buyers have too many options compared to say six years ago, many times now numerous editions of the same print are available at the same time when previously you had to wait months for an item to come for the market and had numerous people waiting to purchase. Hence pest control probably slowing down confirmation requests as many would cash in their prints at the same time and bring a lull to the market
