Believe it or not they're making a big comeback and they appear to be getting quite collectible too when you look at some of the prices on ebay. Especially the cost of quality Walkman and cassette players!
Still got all of mine. Hundreds of them. Lots of tapes of Peel, including festive 50’s. Remember doing mix tapes for mates and girlfriends. A lost art!

Did it have all his chatting in between the songs?

Radiohead Kid A Mnesia , by Spenie on Sept 9, 2021 19:50:54 GMT 1, Don't forget that this is in the music section of the forum, away from all the art. As it happens Stanley Donwood does all the art for Radiohead. This is the first time this package has been released in this form, both albums together along with extra tracks and art work.

That’s fabulous. Without JP chatting between the songs any recordings loose all their charm. Is the MP3 available anywhere. And, if so, how does one listen to an MP3?

That would be great, thanks mate. I don’t have an MP3 player, but could do one of the others. Especially now I’ve bought a minirig (recommended to me) so I can play it with a decent sound quality.

Radiohead Kid A Mnesia , by Spenie on Sept 9, 2021 23:35:52 GMT 1, I've found the files , been a while but had a quick listen , I've got 1983-1990 some have JP chatting at the start and end of the tracks others are just the music, if you want a copy drop me a PM and I'll either email or try the file sharing route. I'm pretty rubbish with technology so it may or may not work

It's similar for me, my Mrs is fanatical about Radiohead or anything Thom Yorke related so she will bang on about this for months even though I will have bought it for her ages ago...she always ruins the surprise !

Wow! My wife would kill for that. I've seen them quite a few times, but not as intimate as the Kidderminster gig. I was fortunate enough to see them play an entire gig for Jools Holland at the BBC, I was standing behind Steve Lamacq... my claim to fame! 😄
