“Introducing “The Cheetah Dog” by Gao Hang x UB.
Ultra digital-feeling, smooth, 8-bit graphic shapes make up the humans, animals, electronics, & webpages that Gao reimagines in his abrasive, glowing paintings. Commenting on the absurdity of digital existence & the humor of human behavior, Gao imagined “The Cheetah Dog” as a spectacle of awkward charm.
For our debut sculpture collaboration, “The Cheetah Dog”, we unflatten, or unfold, the 2D nature of Gao’s work into an elegant sculptural object, a cheetah crafted in neon yellow, hot pink, & Yves Klein blue resin.
Releasing Thursday, September 16 at 12pm EST — “The Cheetah Dog” will be available to collect in three colorways, each limited to an Edition of 30. Sign up to preorder yours.”
