I bought a metasaur at 0.6 pre-reveal (been a rollercoaster thus far... but believe the project has legs so am gonna hodl)

No idea if it will be a hit or a massive fail or if im gonna take a gamble ... but either way will be interesting to see considering it's such a commercial/cultural giant. The whole exclusivity thing of the brand/playboy mansion could work well in the nft sphere...

Anything that you click can technically be a phishing attempt so still be careful. This is why you shouldn’t accept DMs on Discord all together since the majority are phishing attempts in fake discord’s or whatever the case is.
Even large communities can get scammed too so be careful. BearX, 80k+ all WL to actually mint… was hacked the other day and user got access to Twitter and discord. Convinced a large amount to mint something since it came from server and scammers made out with 100eth or so.

1. NEVER share your seed phrase and NEVER store your seed phrase on your computer/devices where hackers can access it. Whatever you do, don’t take a photograph on your phone. Write it down only and store safe,
2. Don’t loose your seed phrase. Metamask cannot help you should you loose it.
3. If someone asks for your seed phrase. They are trying to scam you to steal your wallet contents.
4. If something appears in your wallet you don’t know about or wasn’t expecting. DO NOT click on it. It may be an attempt to steal your contents.
5. Gas (GWEI) is needed to perform any transaction on the blockchain. It can be very expensive so always check before any transaction on a gas tracker website. This can all be a bit scary at first as if you get this wrong, you can loose your gas money. In Metamask they have simplified this to help. When doing a transaction, you can edit your gas fee to low, medium and high priority. As a rule of thumb, better to go with high priority.
6. Gas is cheaper at certain times. Eg when everyone is asleep.

It appears the conference is sold out but theres a lot going on around the city.
NFT Magazine is hosting the Crypto Art Fair tomorrow on an advertising billboard in Times Sq feat. over 70 artists.
Bored Ape Yacht Club is doing their own Ape Fest which has already had an exhibition in SoHo and a Halloween party on a yacht.
 
Postmasters Gallery in Tribeca created a division called Postmasters Blockchain and is having an NFT exhibition at their 54 Franklin St location Nov 1-3 Noon-10pm.
Superchief NFT Gallery will have events taking place all week.
As skeptical as I am, I'm still trying to keep up with the shifting landscape to understand where it's going. Please share if you've heard of any other related events taking place this week in New York.

Art doesn’t need an investment “road map” for collectors.

Hopefully artists also realize that even though they produce beautiful art that are converted to NFTs, they can charge high prices. There has to be utility and a community behind it.

Beyond the general randomly generated images they are working on a game using the UNREAL engine and also building a system to integrate NFTs and crypto into existing game engines. Sounds ambitious but could be cool if it works out. Currently minting at only 0.05 ETH.

I just came across this one but I really like the art--which was apparently done by a popular NFT artist that they're not revealing until after they mint. Seems to be crazy popular though with almost 36k Discord members and 14-15k Twitter and Instagram followers.
