Yeah they just bill you 20% and a €15 collection charge in Ireland. I'm over a year trying to sort out what they owe me.
I stopped paying until it's sorted. I have 12 unpaid duty bills and won't be paying until it's sorted.

Only company importing without issues is Flight Logistics as it appears they sort out customs fees in advance. I also have had good luck importing via the normal postal services routes as these sometimes bypass the customs charges - takes a few days longer, but who is in a hurry.
I’m expecting to pay 20% vat when mine is eventually dispatched as this is a poster with a signed sticker on the back. If I get for less, then will be a bonus.

Yes and they said it should be 5% I forwarded to fed ex and said they should change it. They said they would only look at my case and I haven’t heard back AvanteArt seem not interested now too Shocking

I'm sorry to hear that some of our UK collectors who are receiving their orders are being overcharged import tax and I wanted to share more info on this. As the prints are shipped from the Netherlands (EU) and tax is now due upon goods entering the UK, you will be charged by the courier once the order has arrived in the UK. The UK tax rate for prints is a low rate of around 5%. We always use the correct customs descriptions and HS code to make sure that all our collectors are charged the correct rate. Unfortunately, it seems the courier FedEx has been misdeclaring some of the orders and mistakenly overcharging collectors around 20% rather than the lower rate for prints.
We don't want anyone to pay more than they have to and are escalating it at our end with FedEx to try and stop this from happening to orders that are yet to be sent.
I would suggest following up with FedEx through using the 'Dispute the Invoice' button on their website, via the email ukinvoicequery@fedex.com or via the number 03456 00 00 68, this may take some time but they have to refund and amend the invoice for you. If you have been overcharged, please reach out to our team at info@avantarte.com and we will also email FedEx on your behalf to try and speed up the process.
Again I'm sorry for anyone who has been overcharged but we hope this will be resolved soon. I really appreciate everyone who bought this edition and have loved seeing all the unboxing photos so far!
