Both logistically and financially it is much easier and profitable to have him just sign some stickers, send them wherever the prints are produced and slap them on.
I am tempted but not sure this will ever make the wall….

On the off chance you've not seen it, I got a shipping note for that this week, so it's apparently a thing and in the mail, a year later... 
The new print is great, though I really wish I had pulled the trigger on either of the two previous Avant / Parla releases.

I accept inkjet prints. Technology has come a long way. Static medium and Alex Katz are the gold standard.
There is a more artisanal quality with screenprints, but only if it's done properly by Goldmark Atelier, Popink!, Brand X, and Pace.
The ones from Waluso are shocking quality.

Saw you guys already made a thread here some more info context around the edition! I saw somebody also commenting around the shipping timing of another release he did and that all had to do with him being in the hospital so here is more info:
Next week we’re launching our first timed release with José Parlá. “The Founders” was originally a painting in his solo show It’s Yours at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, before the pandemic in early 2020.
In the months that followed, we were working on our third collaboration with José, and then as things were getting bad with COVID in New York, José got sick. And even when he was in the hospital, we were still texting about the project, and then I stopped hearing back, and I got really worried as I couldn’t get a hold of him. Then I heard he’d gone into a coma, and he was that way for 3 months. It was a really worrying time.
Amazingly he’s made it through and is now back on his feet. So we started thinking about ways to support his recovery with all of the proceeds going to José. This project is the output, a high-quality edition available through a timed launch that gives unique access to his work at a much lower price point than you would usually get - meaning many more people can own a José Parlá edition.
