Why people expect sellers to treat them like family or as if they were a charity, shocks me everytime. People want to profit as much as possible, OP had a better offer, he/she/other accepted it. I really don't see anything even remotly sketchy about this. Maybe it is just me, but I have the feeling people tend to expect a little too much from this world.

Your comment reflects what an idiot you are! In the grand scheme of things what the seller did isnโt a massive deal but at the same time it shows a total lack of respect and general decency. Itโs bad form to agree a sale (of anything) to a buyer then field offers elsewhere!

I donโt think the โidiotโ was necessary. I politely gave you my opinion after reading yours. Very basic democracy. Thank you for your time good sir

Thank you for your time good sir "Idiot" was uncalled for. However, if you privetely agree on a price with a buyer, that is you accept an offer via email or DM, then that is a written agreement of sale. A potentially enforceable contract. Instead if the sale is listed at a price OBO, the best offer wins and merely indicating interest at the listed price does not guarantee a sale is stipulated. Having said that, obviously acting like that has a cost, which in this case it the forum debating about the seller rather than purchasing the art.
