chances are its probably not required but after reading a thread on here years ago i just registered in my name. At that time it didnt cost anything to change name and didnt take years for it to be done. The discussion I read was along the lines of it would be helpful for insurance purposes, ease of any future sale as prospective buyers would prefer it to be registered in your name etc. I couldnt see any downside to registering in my own name even if it might never add much in the way of benefit.

Do it if you donโt want any nasty surprises down the line you 100% should get if transferred into your own name .

There was a bloke on the news yesterday who had his house stolen in a very basic case of identify theft. He's screwed and cannot get into his house.
Aside from insurance companies finding any possible way to not pay out a claim, there's no ruling out a previous owner laying claim to a fake or the real deal via PC, made so much easier when rhe coa is in their name.

I think this is the way you should approach when owning a Banksy's print unless you are planing to sell it in the near future.
One thing is sure Pest Control is really too slow on the "check before you buy" service, specially when the seller has not COA under his name; which seller would wait a month or more to be paid when PC take a month or more to reply to the buyer?

Massive issues if they get stolen etc if you rely on the PC as proof of its value and your ownership of it as itโs in someone elseโs name. Your insurers wonโt understand the nuances of pc and how they work trust me.
So simply and easy to change it for so little just start the ball rolling and forget about it but itโs better than leaving it
If you die (not wishing upon anyone) or get divorced or robbed etc you are in for even more stress so just change it over
