Starting from the important piece: 4BYSIX is a non-profit that commissions and sells unique artworks, furniture and clothing by world-renowned contemporary artists and designers. All sales directly support our mission to help homeless people using creative projects.
4BySix have been up for a few years now, but don't get enough recognition @uaa. Almost every month there is an auction with unique original pieces by leading and emerging artists. They have just wrapped up another great auction yesterday with artists like Masato Yamaguchi, Jon Burgerman, Slawn and worked in the past with other great artists like Fanakapan, Yok, backsideworks, Yotaka Hashimoto etc.
It's been both a pleasure and a satisfying experience bidding in the last auction (and winning a work by Naoko Murata). I will keep updating this post to update on new auctions -> It's great art and even better, for a great cause.

Makers Space finds his inspiration in his pixels with strong colours, this results in simple but sophisticated works. Each tone mixes in a certain rhythm, combining prosaic and complicated forms. He illustrates the ordinary aspect of the world in an atypical way.
Makers Space's work started on social media where his "Pixelation" photo series featured people becoming pixelated - this shed light on a current issue, namely the overexposure of our lives, which we nevertheless wish to be private: by being pixelated.
He himself wishes to be hidden and pixelated as the identity or name is not important at all, just the work done and how it affects other humans.
Today, his pixelated vision of the world is exported to canvases and sculptures.

I lost interest at £3400 as the timer kept resetting to 5 mins. Nice piece but feel it’s a bit pricey. Time will tell I guess.
