Not desperate for the cash, so can ride it out for now. Bought this with the intention of keeping it to join my other invaders, but house prices have leapt to a point I need to boost my funds through some of my collection, and last in first out on this one.
Had some good offers but not where I'm after so far.
There had been some sold at at around that mark. There was one on here from a new user at that price so I was trading on being a better/safer option as I have references and 10 years on the board.

Mate in the states just picked up an RVE for just under 15k - not his strongest print by a wide margin IMO. I wouldn't trade Alert straight up for this one it's double the edition size. |

The alert print isn’t the original concept, which may be going against it for desirability. Also, although the individual edition size per color is 60, there are 300 prints in total.
RVE to me looks more like a background or wallpaper as there are so many invaders and there isn’t one subject to focus on. It looks nice but I wouldn’t view it as one of the iconic prints when one thinks of invader.
I am biased as I do have an alert print.
Also, does anyone know the background of what led to invader to make these RVE prints? It would be interesting to know.

I understand what you are saying about the 5 different editions of 60, but would that mean there are like 200 Aladdin’s? My answer would still be “no”. Some Aladdin’s have an edition of 20 and are unique. Just the same with Alert 2020. You can’t say it’s an edition of 300. It’s an edition of 60 each. And RVE is an edition of 150. if you own five RVE’s, they’re all the same. If you own 5 different color-ways of Alert, they are all different. It is an edition of 60, not 300. Are all the “sunsets” just one large edition or 3 separate editions? |
