I am simply shocked at their asking price, which I think is hilarious. Her prints are certainly valuable, but very hard to gauge the value of given that none have been auctioned. If youโre after something cheap Iโd just sit patiently. Sheโs released a print around this time of year for the last two years in a row. There may be something coming before the end of the year.

A seller may have the ability to mark an item as sold as and when theyโd like. The 2-year resale clause is coming up for her first print from AR. I expect that youโll see one in the spring auctions. Then youโll have a better idea of what it is worth.

To make it look like there was a sale at $20k and establish a precedent. All we know is that it was marked as sold. We donโt know if it actually sold, if the buyer paid, nor if the buyer made an offer much less than the asking price.

Does this print come with a COA from Almine? Neither their prints nor their original works come with a COA. At the final stage, before paying, I would request a copy of the signed invoice which will contain resale conditions, and mention the work, edition number if applicable, and the buyerโs details. With four available on Artsy, and one on FairArt, which may, or may not be the same as one of those available on Artsy, and a price range of $12-15k, I would certainly haggle over the price. |

Post links to pieces for $4-5k please. Hilariously, that auction was titled โNo Regrets.โ There was a far better result at Rago, but thatโs the gamble you take with online auctions. They just donโt seem to take in the same as in-season, in-house sales.

The price for this is 65% higher than that of Ginger Locks. I still believe in her market in the medium and long term, but this is a pass for now.
