I have looked at pieces over the last year but thought they were overpriced. I was even offered a discount in February.

He’s been very popular this year and there’s not enough to go around.

I agree on price and was also offered decent discount. I've got PDFs back to 2015 or 16, prices were same then

I'm happy for him and his recent success, I just think he's pulled the biggest IG move I've ever seen between him and a couple galleries with that artsy search engine statistic, the link in his bio, and some light manipulation and careful cropping of pics. But good on him

I always liked his bike riding characters .. but could never pull the trigger for personal reasons that I can only assume are just plain liking Javier more, and watching him change his style as javier changed his

That being said, original posted is legit and a solid buyer/seller. Deal with him in confidence

the galleries are totally empty now. they sold everything what they found in their cellars...the demand was crazy after the artsy report. the next round will be the show in barca (end of the year). you can expect an price increase for about +30% for his artworks. nearly only big size canvasses...

Saw that this morning. I think it’s safe to assume the edition will sell out quickly and likely have the same type of legs resell wise as the Javier piece.

I’m probably wrong; but, I feel like Edgar’s work is giving a lot of people who missed the Javier wave a second chance to get in on something cool and fun. The canvases are giant so they’re not for everyone.

I think these are issues that will be addressed now. He is a prolific painter. And his output is high. But with the demand comes the exposure which naturally drives down output. In regard to prices, they’re solid. They’ve been the same or steadily rising for a few years. I’ve seen older catalogs that were 20% less more or less. So you can expect a 30% increase for S. Korea & Paris.

I agree. They opened up their cellars and everything is sold out. Luckily, the price bump isnt egregious. But most of what I’ve seen for sale is 2017/18 works. A few 2019.

These upcoming shows everything should be new. And it looks like reserve stock has depleted because I keep getting the same pieces offered to me.
