Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 4:01:50 GMT 1, Hello there!
Iโm looking to make a sale and gain some liquid cash for a large purchase of another item Iโm currently looking at.
Offering my Damien Hirst NFT - I understand itโs not common practice to do so here, but am willing to negotiate a fair price for it as Iโm looking to move it quickly.

Thanks for taking time to read this post and hope yโall have a wonderful day

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 7:21:43 GMT 1, What's your asking price? Original cost was $5,500 (can provide COA + receipt)
While some NFT's with this design are cheaper, the traits and value they carry are also considerably less valuable than this specific NFT; this is mainly due to the traits that the NFT attached to this listing contains traits that a large majority of Hirst's other NFT's simply do not.
Here's a link to the current listing page - please note that a large majority of these NFT's are listed at around 1.1+ ETH ($4,000+): Opensea.io
Ideally I would recoup my money plus some, but again, looking for liquid cash so willing to make a deal.

(Something off about this post.)

Damien Hirst NFT, by dirtypete on Jan 6, 2022 11:57:18 GMT 1, I agree thereโs no reason why you would be asking to be paid cash for a Hirst NFT, as there are two main market places Heni and Opensea. Just list it for sale on either of those platform and then convert the crypto back into your local currency.
So many scams surrounding crypto!

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 15:27:50 GMT 1, Thereโs nothing fishy going on here yโall, itโs simply a matter of avoiding gas fees. It will cost money to list the NFT so instead iโm just offering to send it directly.
Similarly, being asked to get paid in cash is a way to avoid conversion and transfer fees with crypto. More than happy to go through paypal goods and services or whatever kind of pay protection there is.
Either way, this isnโt a scam and I do apologize if something iโve said has caused any of you to suspect otherwise

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 16:52:54 GMT 1, That's a fair question - however gas fees + conversion fees have neared $500+ depending on GUI and timing and such. So listing the NFT + selling the NFT + transferring the NFT would be more expensive than Paypal, which is just a flat 2.9% fee + offers protection for seller and buyer (as I'm sure you're aware).

Damien Hirst NFT, by handy on Jan 6, 2022 17:23:57 GMT 1, Thanks I just saw that GE 3,269 NFT has an additional trait as well as a rarer trait than the one being sold here? GE 3,269 sold yesterday for 0.5372 ETH (about 1800 USD at todays price)...
Many sold since Xmas at roughly 0.4 to 0.5 ETH, except for a few outliers with apparently special traits.
Think your pricing is a bit off?

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 17:33:09 GMT 1, Yes - which I would be happy to assume, as there would only be one gas fee (me transferring the NFT) VS. the seller gas fees mentioned about, + The buyer fees , which would look like: converting their money into crypto + transferring said crypto into their wallet + making an offer on OpenSea + paying for the transfer (gas) fee.
For those skeptical, I'm happy to keep this on OpenSea - you'll just spend more money and I won't be able to negotiate as much on price as I will have to also spend said money; those looking for a straight purchase, we can do whatever protections y'all would want (Paypal, contract, NDA, etc..).
I've been scammed - it fucking sucks; that's not my intent here. In fact, my intent isn't even to flip this artwork. I simply won it at auction and changed my mind about the purchase afterwards - something we've all gone through. With that in mind, instead of trying to create a charge-back to the auction house or original seller, I'm just trying to sell it at what I paid for it and move on.

Damien Hirst NFT, by Richy Rich on Jan 6, 2022 17:37:29 GMT 1, Yeah this piece is barely above a floor piece. OP why did you drop $5k on it when you could have bought a similar piece for much cheaper on Heni or Opensea? Think you'll struggle to recoup half your cost at the moment. Might be worth holding on and hoping these 'moon' in someway.

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 17:42:01 GMT 1, Sure, that's another fair question - while the floor is somewhere closer to 2-3K this is also Ethereum we're talking about. So, if Ethereum goes up in price, so will the floor - which will inevitably lead to this NFT going up in value as well.

Damien Hirst NFT, by handy on Jan 6, 2022 18:20:06 GMT 1, Floor price on opensea 0.489 Eth (1669,2 USD today).
Take into account recent sales (e.g. see my post above) and the floor price. Then you find something fair for both parties.

Damien Hirst NFT, by Happy Shopper on Jan 6, 2022 18:20:12 GMT 1, According to this link it's still owned by Heritage Auctions. And has never been sold to anyone. ??
The only way to sell an NFT is to list it on Heni or Opensea... You have to transfer it to the new owner on there either way you try to sell, so you'll always have GAS fees along the line. Can't be avoided.

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 18:26:53 GMT 1, That's correct! Please keep in mind those are for NFT's that carry less rarity than this one - as another example - Great Expectations #3421 is listed at 1.1 ETH ($3,735) - this NFT is considered to be less rare than the one I'm offering. The two currently listed (#4971 & #3917) both also contain less-rarity-value than this NFT

So hasn't even transferred ownership yet!? I've no idea how that works... but I'm guessing involves GAS fees, so needing a quick sale to transfer it straight to a new buyer instead !?

Damien Hirst NFT, by LaLaLazy on Jan 6, 2022 18:53:32 GMT 1, Lol this isn't about getting cash for the purchase - the NFT was won at auction yesterday and and the check from my bank have been sent in for payment. This is more of a matter of buyers remorse and trying to sell it for what I paid for it or discuss it for a slight loss - which I maintain is a fair offer.

I would say off the bat it seemed fishy but OP seems to have a believable story but I would suggest doing the transaction through a sanctioned platform like OS. All too often we see transfers between wallets go bad.

Damien Hirst NFT, by handy on Jan 7, 2022 9:32:02 GMT 1, There are currently 75 listed that you can buy immediately for 1 ETH or under (3.2k USD or under). With a bit of rummaging i'm sure it's possible to get a fairly smiliar one for 2k USD or less. Worth noting that you can also make offers below listing prices. Some listing prices on opensea are consistent with past sales while others are not.
Never used Heni so can't add much for that.
