Artists proofs are usually used as a form of currency by the artist/producer to "gift" to friends, volunteers, sponsors and VIP's etc, not to proof the design. That would be the printers proofs or PP's. |

Not traditionally. An artist proof is what they approve and keep.
Printers proof is what the artist also signs off, and the printer keeps to make sure the rest of the run match.

You would have to do a bunch to get a good idea of value.
For this one I got:
($5000*600)/(20*16)=$9375
