Market for banksy postcards?, by lobio on Jan 22, 2022 16:04:44 GMT 1, Hi there - I am new here. I have a collection of postcards that are either issued by banksy or in collab with him (turf wars, blur think tank, pearly gates, etc). Not looking to sell just wanna know if these are worth anything ? Many are very rare and hard to find

Market for banksy postcards?, by kwatis on Jan 22, 2022 16:27:46 GMT 1, You might consider setting up an account with Expressobeans. While predominantly a gig poster site, it is pretty thorough for artists, including Banksy. What I appreciate about EB is that it tracks recent pricing and valuation of the pieces in its archives. While not always the most accurate (most pricing is sourced thru private sales thru EB or public sales via eBay with occasional auction results also available), they would give you a starting point.

Market for banksy postcards?, by kwatis on Jan 22, 2022 17:05:46 GMT 1, Receipts when purchased from the original source, any original packaging, photographic documentation, and/or a brief history of how you optioned them. Regardless, all of these can be fabricated. Tons of fakes out there and people flogging them to try and make some dough. Given that anything Banksy related tends to be in demand or have interest, the forum can be helpful when trying to help people spot fakes or stay away from dodgy sellers. Authenticating ephemera is a hot topic on here and rather than asking questions that have more than likely already been asked/answered, the thread search should be your first step. See if there are threads that already address the same questions you might have. Step two, check the date of the threads post. If itโs old, it might be out dated. Final step would be then setting up your own thread if searching didnโt turn up anything.
