Banksy applied for and got an Arts Council UK grant years ago. As the Arts Council is public funded. There should be a record available to the public showing how much money Banksy was given for which project and under what name too.

Of course one could always provoke Banksy into taking legal action against one. Which means that Banksy would have to disclose his actual identity and existence.
