First of the Nick Walker flippers, by diddyd on Apr 17, 2008 20:47:22 GMT 1, I wouldn't buy anything for 10,000 off someone thats only got 10 feedback comments on ebay and i certianly wouldn't pay that much for that print or any other print. I thought the street piece that this canvas was based on rocked but as a print it doesn't cut it for me.

It's like a bitch fest, with all you whiny complainers.
if you don't let him wind you up, you won't be bothered, but if you let him get under your skin, your pathetic responses only provide more humor to people like me watching with interest.
what happened to all the humor?
Do we need another poll :-/asking if a sense of humor should be banned here? ;D

If I had the chance to buy a print and to then was able able to sell it for 10K I would not even have to think twice as would most of you!

First of the Nick Walker flippers, by Heavyconsumer on Apr 18, 2008 7:58:08 GMT 1, I also find it strange that people would support buying to sell on immediately when there are art-lovers behind him in the que who are subsequently priced out of the market for a piece they might love and cherish given the chance, just for someone to make a few quid.
I know that you're right about them providing a service that is in part responsible for the growth of the sector and the rising value of our collections, but I think it's sad to look at art as an investment before something that can be enjoyed and not the investment aspect as the bonus. It's equally as sad that people who can afford to buy art they love at source are bussled out of buying their art of choice by others with no respect or interest for the art.

First of the Nick Walker flippers, by snakes on Apr 18, 2008 8:00:38 GMT 1, I just think it would be nice if once of the print houses could just release a high quality screen print such as this in unlimited numbers just as a little experiment to play around with the market

I agree that it is definitely the better of yesterdays 3 but i still think London TMA outshines it as would TMA Sydney if it were to released as a print.
My Mrs certainly likes the butterfly one

First of the Nick Walker flippers, by noodles1 on Apr 18, 2008 8:05:36 GMT 1, Even tho we have had this boring flipping conversation squillions of times, my opinion is that we all need the flippers, artists and collectors alike. Without the flippers, our art would stagnate around cost value for a long while and we would have no swapping/selling power. Thanx to flippers and collectors who are willing to pay them, my collection is worth ALOT more than I paid for it. Stop f**kin moaning about flippers! We all benefit from them even if some of you hate to admit it!!!!
Putting a value on your art is the way its been for alot longer than this scene has been around. Its part of the art market ethics. Thats why the word 'Market' Comes after the word 'ART'. It always has been. IMO, its those that dont think of value when they buy a piece that are truly in the wrong game. They come hand in hand. We all buy pieces because we love the image and they will never rise in value but we ALL buy pieces because they will have a certain value once all sold out. Or is everyone gonna come back at me and tell me that if they dont like the next Banksy print, they would drop it from their basket if they had it in there. ANYONE that says they would are f**kin lying. People how moan about flippers are hypocrites IMO.
I know I said earlier that I had no strong views on this and I still dont. This is just how I see it and IMO how it actually is. People who get the print are happy so see others sell it for X amount as that instantly puts a high value on their piece, its those that dont manage to get the print that moan about the flippers.

First of the Nick Walker flippers, by GB on Apr 18, 2008 12:35:22 GMT 1, its amazing all this nick walker stupid pricing, one single auction and the whole worlds gone crazy, personally i think the work looks cheap, for this sort of money you have to look outside the realms of "urban" art. Mind you i would be very surprised if any of these sellers know anything about art other that what they are told.....
