Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by teabaggins on Feb 1, 2022 15:21:11 GMT 1, I find in interesting, that while every other print producer is moving in the direction of requiring a 2-3 year no sale clause, Heni has created a way to make is so much easier to re-sell their prints in the same time window. Because they get 5% on every sale

As they get 4% of resales (NFT or proper auction houses), it is in their interest.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Charlie Bronson on Feb 1, 2022 17:11:24 GMT 1, Like I’ve said before, don’t listen to what anyone is saying on this board; listen to your gut. I had a whole set of Virtues carted, listened to a few on this board saying I was crazy, and ended up getting just one. I bought two Kaws Urge sets, and was ridiculed by a handful saying I don’t break even in a year. I sold one set for double what I paid and now have a set that I essentially got for free. Point being, trust your gut more than anything else and don’t let baseless assumptions sway your decision. If you like the art, get it. If you’re buying to flip, know there are risks involved and the assumptions may be correct, or completely wrong. I’m still trying to decide if I’m buying one or two to hang; at the very least one.

As long as it's 1m x 1m and signed on the back. It is a bit of art in itself. Why do you have this bit of paper on the wall? Well, now your asking, back in 2022 I bought.... and forgot... and so.... and actually don't You think the white suits my colour scheme better, I am thinking of putting it in with Tate

Im currently converting all my old till receipts as we speak - getting ready.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by tasmannelson on Feb 1, 2022 19:27:00 GMT 1, Saving VAT is good reason to by the deed. Deed is then exchanged for the print minus the tax. Seems like a good idea to those owning an NFT and is UK based. Not true. You will still pay VAT when you exchange the NFT deed. I'm sure this has been explained at least half a dozen times already. This forums discussion got my hopes up. I was interested in the NFT for that reason only. Shame. Heni stated they don’t take responsibility for taxes on their FAQ regarding shipping and duties. Does anyone know who does? Is this done via DHL? Apologies NZ based.

I can only say if I import stuff, I have to pay the vat and import duties, this is for my business. The freight forwarder or DHL invoice me on product before its delivered to me. I would imagine the same for art.
This is the odd thing about Heni, I have not really thought about this? Is it an offshore tax thing?
Or is it that VAT is only charged when it becomes a Real? and the VAT would be charged at whatever countries rate?
Not really bothered, I hope it's not a loophole though

Any ideas why they didn't pay tax on the physical Currency in the UK? Curious what the legal difference is here.

I don’t you should make any comparisons between Virtues and The Empresses on this report.

Just go to www.heni.com and scroll down to HENI Editions NFT Deed and its displayed there.

No. Trusting your gut isn’t an assumption, it’s an action, and is far from baseless; in fact it’s the exact opposite. That being said, feel free to base your decisions on conjecture by strangers as opposed to what your gut tells you; you’re entitled to do so.
