It’s nearly worth getting the NFT just for the COA then!

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Petrusino on Feb 1, 2022 7:01:49 GMT 1, Why would the deed ever be worth more than the physical print? Why is this so confusing to everyone. The deed is not worth more than the physical, they are all tentatively priced the same. The NFTs cannot logically be more than the physicals as per the Currency. I live in US - I buy an NFT. Thus saving, $200 on shipping and $200 on taxes. Maybe $100 in storage. (The NFTs are strictly for investment, no one is going to buy the NFT if they want to hang it on the wall). I sell NFT deed to someone in Tasmania for $5000. They get the print shipped to them. I make $1500 vs $1000. Repeat 10x for how many NFTs people invest in.
when you sell your NFT on the Palm marketplace you should pay 5% as gas fees ... later you will lose more money if you want to make all the necessary transfers to convert the crypto money earned into real money (FIAT) to transfer on your bank account. Furthermore many novice people will have to try to buy ethereum or bitcoin first in order to buy your nft on Palm only to then turn it back into a physical copy.

Re The Hirsts... These are in no way a slam dunk, the sheer volume of NFT community speculating on a quick flip with profit is astonishing, I am in a few NFT Discords and these are being purchased in their 1000s in the hope of an easy few quid.
Buy only if you want to hang or hold for years. That's my advice.
FYI. I have copped two now #2 and #5.

My fave was number 5, the wife's number 2.... Needless to say we got number 2 (physical) I'm now debating whether to pull the trigger on 5 physical as well.... with intentions to display both... poss look to sell in 5 to 15 years maybe...?

I thoughts #1 would do much better but seems to be the weakest going by the comments and the polls!
For me there is no standout-must buy or weak-dont buy ! All in the average category which makes it more difficult !

If you have a spare 5 minutes take a look through the Currency & Virtues threads, the same happened on those… pages & pages of those talking the pieces down & yet both proved to be very good investments indeed.
Full disclosure: I’ll be buying #4 as an NFT with a view of either exchanging for the physical if I can convince my wife we have space on the wall for it, or trade in a few years to come (within 3 obviously).

I'll leave it until later in the week and make a snap decision

I get it.. but the NFT still exists for people to do what they want with it... unless it gets burned out of their wallets, but I don't think that's possible, so even after the 3 years are up those NFTs CAN be traded (even if you call them a Deed)
The world of NFTs and their value makes little sense... so all I'm saying is that if people give them a perceived value, then that's their value.
Like a Banksy sticker that was never meant to be art, or have value, but does and is traded.

Just because you call and NFT an "NFT Deed", is it in fact any different to a lot of other traded NFTs?
I know in the real world it would have little or no value, but this isn't the real world. It's a world where a bad cartoon of a monkey can be traded for millions. I don't think we can know what value, if any, will be attached to these in 3 years.
Time will tell if they continue to be traded... Lets come back to this in 3 years and see what people are doing with them.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Happy Shopper on Feb 1, 2022 14:06:07 GMT 1, Why would anyone be trading a useless receipt after the 3 years?! Because all/most NFTs are just as useless.
It's a jpeg with an image of a bit of art, attached to a bit of code on the blockchain that you can "own". That's all all/most NFTs are.
So, if I call one an NFT Deed and one an Art NFT, what's the difference in reality? Quality of the jpeg?
Some have "utility", like free umbrellas (Whoop), but most are pretty pointless, BUT traded like baseball cards or expensive stamp collections. Value is only a weird perceived value based on trading and speculation.
Not saying these will or won't have value... but I can see why the NFT collectors (non art people) have been questioning the "Deed" business and what it really means to them.
Does that make more sense?

I do get where you are coming from but this is just a virtual token used for redemption. If you don’t use it within the 3 years it’s just going to a be a token that’ has expired. The sticker comparison would be more like an airdrop. Like the GE was for the Currency IMO.
Troll number one right here 😂 Not intending to be a troll on this... Just stating a fact. Value on ephemera is unpredictable, and NFTs even more so! I do get where you are coming from but this is just a virtual token used for redemption. If you don’t use it within the 3 years it’s just going to a be a token that’ has expired. Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by teabaggins on Feb 1, 2022 14:12:44 GMT 1, Buyers lost cash on JR's Heni NFT. Giza. The project is a lame duck. You can't give them away. The gas fee is more than the NFT. All that Heni touches isn't gold. Or buy the NFT if you think you can make 15-20% here faster than you can in other investments. You also have to keep in mind gas fees for listing / transferring to other platforms.

I don’t think that’s really true in the long term. Just think 20 years from now a 30 year old still living at home with Mum wants some art to look at, he’ll be wanting digital art. Why? Because that’s where he’ll be spending most of his time. His Job, social life and leisure time could well be in the metaverse. True Cryptopunks might well be ugly but then look at the physical art that gets bought, Gonefellow for example.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Petrusino on Feb 1, 2022 14:31:08 GMT 1, "What happens if I don’t redeem the HENI Editions NFT Deed?
When you redeem the HENI Editions NFT Deed for the physical, the NFT gets burned.
If you fail to redeem the HENI Editions NFT Deed for the physical work before 10am ET February 5th 2025, you will lose your rights to the physical piece and HENI will be free to dispose of it however it wants (including not completing the work).
You can keep the NFT after the redemption date, but the purpose of these NFTs is to delay delivery and enable trading. They are a different category of NFTs to our artist drop NFTs. At the end of the three year redemption window, it will no longer be possible to redeem the NFT for the physical artwork."

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Art Buy Guy on Feb 1, 2022 14:41:25 GMT 1, Interesting choices - #2 has not figured high in the Polls. #5 is like marmite - people love it or hate it. I thoughts #1 would do much better but seems to be the weakest going by the comments and the polls! For me there is no standout-must buy or weak-dont buy ! All in the average category which makes it more difficult ! Can you point me/us to one or the other of these polls, please?
