I would not be surprised to see his prices going up like Thierry Noir recently did! (not owning a single piece so I am not biased!). |

I do own a few of his prints which i love, but i do think his (especially more recent) prints are a bit hit and miss with regard to image selection and content (the ballerina does nothing for me). Just don't find them very interesting. I do think BLR gets lot of respect from the street art lovers as a pioneer of the movement and the stencil street art artform, but i don't think this HAS to translate into monetary terms, and does it have to? Is that a measure of success?

Should be a matter of time
That said he’s one of the oldest in the game and he’s still out there right now doing it on the streets
He has a huge following and his work has its place , it’s clean and becomes synonymous with the movement for me
Some younger upstarts who don’t have the street cred , style or artistic talent , just to compare , he at least needs to be equal to them
You can still pick up low numbered editions direct where as with something like graffiti street or whatever it’s called you have to enter into a lottery for a chance to purchase , don’t get it

Gotta be in the Tate Modern collection and repped by either Hauser and Wirth, Gagosian or Zwirner.
