You can bid by either means and you are correct. As this is a charity art auction there are no additional premiums. The only thing McTears have to charge is Artist Resale Rights percentage which they make no money from and is managed by an external group. So.........bid away....๐ |

You should be able to see the current bids on each item, but you have to click on each one as thereโs no way to tell from the main catalogue page.

The first is shot on the Mull of Kintyre and it makes me smile imagining what that chicken would say if it could talk. The second is from a recent trip to the Arctic Circle . This young lady is one to watch.

Great to see the interest in a vast range of lots. Just so you guys are aware The-Saleroom.com operate what is called a shared bidding platform which means that anyone can see bids that people have placed via that particular website.
McTears operate, like most auction houses, what is called a private bidding platform which means that the customers of McTears who have placed bids these bids cannot be seen by anyone other than McTears. The MD of McTears informed me at a meeting this week that they already had over 150 online bids which is amazing.
His advice to anyone looking to buy a particular piece was to join the auction on the 28th October where all will be revealed.
Exciting stuff.

Lot 222 is by my 13 year old granddaughter Iris and I think this resonates. It actually is OK not to be OK.
If anyone out there does find that they are not OK please reach out to one of the many incredible charities that are available to support. Talk to friends, family or just someone that you know. DON'T BE ALONE....

But I do have a few favourite pieces and this is one of them. It's an amazing original diptych by Scotlands very own @the.rebel.bear . The diptych comes with a length of actual fuse that links the two pieces together. The 2nd photo is the piece on the street in Glasgow.
