They make sales, bargains at the moment ( even by the past ) very very interesting...
Also, they do not tax European on all the artworks, so for a print at 30 £ I paid only 25 uid ( shipping at 9 / it's 7 in UK, so better buy in Europe ;-)

He is « Childish » and as said Frederick Nietzche « in every real man, is a child who wants to play » ….

My folks were lucky enough to join a research vessel to Antarctica a couple of years ago, and briefly followed in Shackleton's footsteps. I dug out Billy's portrait of Ernest (2013) from my collection & had it framed up by MFM for my dad's birthday last year. He was chuffed to bits.

This reminds me of a quote from him that I love.
From a Guardian article from 2014 by Clive Martin on Billy Childish:
"I ask him about the famous moustache, now so prevalent in certain districts of the London he's never musch cared for. "I'm an interesting person with a moustache, rather than a person who's grown a moustache to be interesting. But it's a good trick to do that, and good luck to them if they can pull it off."

I think his paintings sell for significant sums.
Presumably he, and L13, have made a decision to keep his prints low production cost and low price, and so accessible.
Btw, his complete paintings book is beautifully produced and is one of my favourites in my collection.
