Man this place has gone downhill.

It’s a fair opinion. I feel the number of people who are motivated to sell are now getting thinner on the ground. Current owners can ask what they want because in 5 years time they will be worth double.

I’m not and posted my reply with tongue in cheek, but I have had various conversations where people are using all in auction prices as a private sale price and use this as a way of trying to justify their value.

It's the age old debate of whether said item is worth what the buyer paid (hammer +fees) or what the seller received (hammer -fees, if any).

In one-way markets you'll trade either side, but if it's relatively stable it's likely to be anywhere in between.

History will be the judge as to whether you were right to hold your ground or not - on both sides.

I think this is a fair value for a signed Banksy print. You should have many to choose from. Being in the UK should make it easy to find something in that price range.
